Following the contest´s motto "The BrikVerse is a wildly diverse setting and the purpose of this contest is to encourage more awesome new content.", I decided not to build stuff for existing factions or settings this time, but inhabit a whole new world and... GO FULL STEAMPUNK!

The Idea of having a steampunk army, respective a world/setting with different factions, followed me since I got hands on some figs from the winter village fire department, who were just screaming 'steampunk' to me.

So here we are, few year´s later, and I present you nothing less than my most filigree build yet:

The Ether`s Empress

It´s the airborne flagship of the realm´s Imperium. It has a full crew of imperial soldiers, is armed with 6 medium cannons and equipped with the finest rocket engines for maximum speed and range. I´ve not gotten into lore all too deep yet, but this will come soon!

The Boast:
This was one of the most tricky builds I´ve made up to now. It´s so different from scifi mechs and ships. I intentionally didn´t want to use those big pirate ship parts, because that´s the first thing everyone uses for steampunk airships. I wanted to shape the hull by myself. Getting all these crazy angles and shapes to clutch and then bring it all together - without breaking anything off again - was equally annoying, fun and informative. But I´m very pleased with the result and hope you`ll like it as much as I do.

Jeez dude. That's a truly bonkers build. The balloon staying up and it looking very natural that it does is the craziest part of it to me.
