Varangian Kuma & Pantera tanks

Post by Kastrenzo » Wed Jul 05, 2023 10:14 pm

After 1 year of war between the Mir nations of the Slavonik Imperiya and Varyag Republik, The Varangian's supporters in the North elected to supply them with heavy weapons from the various Alliance members arsenals.

First among them were battle tanks. The Elysian Pantera, and Acadian Kuma were stripped of their paint, shipped to Varangia and repainted with their national colors. Both vehicles are superior to the majority of armor in use by either side in the war, with the exception of some of the newer Slavonik Heavy Armor like the Rakushka. Many of these vehicles were made available due to the lack of the alliance's northern members no longer needing a large land based force, as most of the alliance members favor to fight from the sky. The Varangian Army however, in the midst of fighting a ground war of apocalyptic scale, can make good use of these vehicles. The North Sea benefactors decided they could write off some older hardware, and indirectley hasten the demilitarization of the Insane Slavonik regime at the same time.

The "Pantera" is a joint model that is used by both the Elysian Federation, as well as in small numbers by Cordova. It by comparison, faster, slightly less armored and uses less active protection and targetting features than the Acadian Kuma, however it's gun is generally considered to be more accurate and the vehicle overall is cheaper to produce. It is no less effective in a war mostly populated by obsolete equipment, such as the one it has been thrust into

Cute and cool!
These have the potential to make some good 8x8s as well. Good chassis design.
