The island of Mantu Nura is host to a plethora of biomechanical animals, such as these two beetles. The Onu'Nuran Stag Beetle and the Le'Nuran Rhino Beetle are but two of many species of insects that roam the island, yet both are especially well known for their strong mandibles which help them ward off natural enemies.
It is not uncommon for these beetles to be kept as pets or used for fights.
However, inhabitants of the islands outside of Mantu Nura took interest in their silver mandibles to be used as tools or kept as trophies. Thus locals are being hired to poach these animals and do the dirty work for their clients, while risking to be shunned and scrutinised by their peers.
Each beetle takes 18 pcs to be build. I submit both as a single entry because I got mainly inspired by the Rahi sets from 2001, featuring two similar looking but differently coloured figures that could be pit against each other. Bricklink Studio file for reference:
