The Aton System Authority only formed recently, after a conflict on their neighboring planet resulted in a lot of fancy alien technology for the minifigs on Aton-3. They immeiately started upgrading and expanding, seeking new alien tech, amass energy crystals and conquer any planet they consider remotely interesting for colonisation or exploitation.

High ranking Aton officers quickly learned that staying behind on another planet - while being a great plan for not getting shot in the face - is not very efficient. Orders would get send to outposts that couldn't even redirect them in time for the troops to not die. So they decided to improve their home-office equipment. Introducing: Galaxy-class remote controlled combat drones. These robots are primarily used by Commanders who like to lead the battle from the frontlines while also sitting far away from where the shooting happens. During previous conflicts, these Drones, sometimes dubbed "Commander Galaxy" by the troops, were the heart of Aton's forces. Later, they were mass-produced, serving as disposable robot sentries in Aton's galactic defense squads.

Many of Aton's troops and workers are cloned using "repossessed" alien technology. Most of the Troopers will carry pulse rifles into battle, similar to the weapons seen on some of Aton's ships - like their dropships or (at a larger scale) on their battlecruisers.

The MT-67 Scout Crawler has replaced the old MT-31 as a versatile reconnaissance vehicle. While it's lacking the transport capacity of it's predecessor, it makes up for it with it's specialised armament: a high tech Ion-Missile launcher, a miniaturized version of Aton's EM Pulse cannons used for orbital bombardements. in addition, Scout Crawlers are equipped with long range scanners, normally seen only in larger tanks. The only major downside of these tracked vehicles is the cost - manufaturing and energy-wise - to put these high-tech gadgets on a vehicle this small and vulnerable.
