Pogosus Cavalry
Every self-respecting army needs a light cavalry unit for fast reconnaissance and routing enemy infantry. To this end, Linkingrad engineers have developed the prototype of a clockwork creature which is a perfect mount for the job:
The Mk I Wind-Up Pogosus

The pogosus is a creation powered by winding a key found on its left side. Once fully wound, it propels itself around in leaps using a powerful under-mounted spring. This helps it bounce over obstacles and lets it rapidly cover ground.
Any rider who would want to attempt to control such a bounding steed has to be fearless, and look appropriately cool. Guy, the pioneering lancer here, is fashionably outfitted in his standard Linkingrad Vert uniform, but accented with a fetching white helmet and goggles, classy short cape draped over the shoulder, and the formidable lance itself.

On the pogosus' right side, there is a clip which can be used as a lance-rest, or for holding an alternate weapon or other useful accessory.

Now it's time for a demonstration of a signature bouncing charge. In the red cap, we have Bill from the Guard, who has been kindly volunteered as a stand-in for the enemy in this stunt. We thank you for your service, Bill.

Readers need not be afraid for Bill's safety. Guy will direct the pogosus to bounce up, and as the lancer and beast descend at breath-taking pace down towards Bill, the rider will skillfully use the point of the lance to snatch Bill's cap from the top of his head, leaving him completely unscathed. All the Guardsman needs to do, is remain completely, utterly, unwaveringly still, not moving a single muscle, and he will be fine.

Here we go! The pogosus leaps up like a grasshopper! Don't worry Bill, I have it on good authority that Guy practiced this feat at least three times yesterday afternoon, and he's also drunk at least four pints of Maniak Beer to steady his hand.

WAIT, BILL, NO! Where are you going!? You need to stand completely stil- OH SHI-

Phew! I was worried for a second there, but the red cap is on the lance! Huzzah! What a triumph of speed and finesse! What showmanship! Another success for our indomitable military!
Can someone check on Bill, please?
