After years of silence, the Celestial Kingdom returned in force with a massive attack on Dranic B. The Scorpion Legion was overrun in days.

Wow...

Okay, my initial reaction to this is, "oh look, another mecha," but this is a great vingette with some good implied action surrounding a really good build.

Style: 8 Parts usage is pretty normal for the most part, nothing really greebly stands out, but it is a nice build with some good SNOT technique and interesting articulation. Love that pointing finger on the mecha's 'hand.'

Substance: 9 This is a complete scene. Nice color variation on the trees, love the water effect in the river, the contrast between the red mecha and the surroundings make it pop that much more. Scales nicely to the surroundings, I love that the mecha towers over most of the trees without looking completely dominant.

Theme: 9 Clearly, this is an attacking force that is driving their enemy before them. Love the guy hiding in the river bend, clearly looking to take out anyone who spots him. Just lots of little mini scenes in this, and in such a compact build for something this complex. I'm not normally big into mecha builds for these contests, but I have to give props to well-done ones.

Presentation: 9 No human scale stuff to distract the viewer, photos are nice and clear (would have liked to see a few more viewpoints, like an eagle-eye), good camera focus.

Lovely vignette build!

Style - 8. Great mech, and very nice brickbuilt vignette!
Substance - 8. Again, good scale for the scene and good level of detail.
Theme - 8. The Celestial Kingdom is a great faction and the build and scenery reflects the theme of the faction very well. The suggestion of potential ambush/fugitive situation injects some nice tension into an otherwise seemingly pedestrian scene.

Presentation - 9. Multiple angles are great, and plain background emphasises the build.Some of the pics are slightly out of focus.

Style - 8. Great mech posing.
Substance - 9. Multi-layer base is very nice.
