these models are of the absoloute smallest ships to ever sail the OPEN seas. they are refered to as Sloops (not to be confused with Sloop of War) Sloop applies to the type of sail and mast combonation.

firstly the standard Sloop. this was the favorite of pirates due to it's fast speed. this is actuall scale at 40 feet long. believe it or not pirates did not sail around in frigates like in pirates of the Caribbean, almost all pirates sailed in Sloop. the only exception i can think of is Blackbeard who sailed the Queen Anns Revenge. before Blackbeard sailed the Queen Anns Revenge he sailed abourd the Sloop Adventure.

this is the Great Sloop with Quarterdeck. the Quarter deck allows there to be a cabin primarilly used as the captains Quarters. while a little more spacious than the average sloop the ship is still extremely small.

p.s. i don't think cannon fodder best describes me.
i think a better nickname would be like Napoleon or Lord of LDD or something. just thinking.

I love sloops. Besides their speed, one of the reasons they were so well-suited for coastal piracy is because they could be built with such a shallow draught that they could skate away over reefs and sandbars while larger ships pursuing them ran aground. Which is awesome.

I see that you maded the first one more realistic, but, I don't like it-
The second one is way more better. A shame that there arent cannons in LDD.

I'm kindof tempted to buy like 100 of the new pirates and soldiers and get some ships and just have a huge battle with them
