After seeing Zahru's Horde, I wanted to post up the start of my horde.

Not too much customization yet, I'm going for almost straight playability.




One of my favorite units. All armed with long range weapons. The leader (officer) has a long range explosives launcher and long range weapon (arrows when he runs out of "tech arrows"). Unit is at -1" move for the box they have to carry around with them.

I plan to build up a stone thrower or other piece of artillery soon and have a fleet to go with it. The Troll Warship is pretty awesome, and I plan to build some smaller ships and rafts (and possibly a big flagship to go with it) all for shore assaults or naval battles.

The troll unit is usually the first to be targeted by enemy long range fire, but has done the most single-turn damage yet. Took out a unit of 7 archers in one turn of combat (and enough damage spare to take out a few others as well).

To Warhammer Fantasy players: am I the only one who smells a lawsuit over the troll's iconography? That's totally an orc glyph.

The army is nice
The only point that they are a bit small squad to be an army. But if this is just a tactical squad, then nothing said

The Troll Warrior Battle Pack comes with a few shields. When I need more minifigs I'll just pick up one of those packs (lucky me is 20 minutes away from one Lego store and 30 from another), but right now I'm looking to pick up the mountain fortress (for characters) and a warship or two.

Lucky you. I rely on bricklink and impulsez. I had enough old castle shields so far however. Those are ok, it makes the orks look more rag-taggy.

Ohhh, didn't know they had that out yet...I'm considering buying my self some trolls and making Zombies out of them.

I REALLY want a horde of Zombies.

Yeah, they look good I may have to steal the Troll's clubs construction technique. They look great and like they'd do more damage.

I loved playing Vampire Counts in Warhammer. If you had a character that could raise dead figures into zombies (just make sure their statline's weaker), that'd be awesome

Custom clubs=WIN.

Actually, I have a Necromancer. ^^

crocodiles pull a battle chariot guided by an elf as part of a troll army?!?!?
other then that amazing.
