Hey there,

Both of my armies have expanded; I now have an evil horde besides my Imperial Regiment, so I think that these guys just deserve a totally new topic.

Anyway more pics, less talk:

The Imperial army:
Valiant humans who defend their lands and are allied with dwarves and elves.


Overview of units:

- A squad of knights
- A squad of pikemen
- A squad of swordsmen
- A squad of guardsmen (halberdiers)
- A squad of pistoliers
- A squad of elven rangers
- Mortar team
- Ballista, crew, and supply wagon
- A worker
- Wizard
- Force commander
- and finally, The King in his massive war chariot, guarded by two lancers.
Unit total: 55
Future plans (posted soon):
- A squad of dwarf warriors
- A dwarven warmachine

The Dark Horde:


Led by a nefarious black wizard, this "alliance" of undead, orks and trolls and beasts is ready to devastate the Empire once and for all!

Overview:

- Dark Riders
- 2 squads of ork warriors
- Skeletal mob
- Ork archers
- Centaurs
- 2 Giant Trolls
- Troll War drummer
- Warbeast with rider
- Catapult and crew
- 2 Black drakes
- and the Evil wizard riding a skeletal pegasus.
Unit Total: 56
Future Plans: Nothing specific, although I have an urge to amass more baddies.

So here they are; let me know if you want to see pics of individual units.

Very good, I don't think we see enough chariots on this forum, you may want to attach officers to some of the empires squads, E.G. the swordsmen and the pikemen, because that knight will only be slowed down by them.

the dark horde however does not fall into such traps

Actually, those knights are the officers. I had no idea where to use them, and they have quite an uplifting presence I think .

i see the setup for a great battle if they are facong eachother. i can also see that you appparently believe the release of elves is coming.

Very nice armies with an ideal size, I think. Lego did a good job on this collection, whereas KKII was about average and the thing with the flashy knights was about useless at the time I was actively collecting. It's good to see the grilled helmets and euro armours are back, too.

Those pistol guys are awesome. Do they carry swords so they can also be used in melee or is it just for show?

Yeah, they're the hybrid squad, good for shortrange and cc.

Hrm, for the evil alliance, see if you can get hold of another 3 trolls - and then have a SQUAD OF TROLLS!

Gotta say, I do love the dino/ballista combo - perhaps if you could get another, you could mount a LOTR stle archer tower on it (a crossbow on each corner for the win! )

As for the good empire, see if you can get hold of (or build) another two charriots, with mounted repeater crossbows, and lances.

I love what i'm seeing so far, i unfortunately just don't have anything that i can put to a decent medieval themed army.

I hate trolls.

I actually like the trolls. They are much better than the crownies imo. Those are so good, they are bordering cheesy.
