Well I've been sick the past few days but it's given me a good chance do build lego so, I finally completed the
Marx's Revenge, A Space Commie Heavy Cruiser. She's 40 " long and has a shield generator, fighter bay and an 8" long laser cannon called the Widow Maker. She doesn't have a crew yet but that will all be done in time. for now enjoy the pride of The Motherland.
She might not be pretty but she gets it done.
This is the fighter bay underneath the ship. It has sliding doors but I forgot to take pics of them.
The ship's main heavy weapons are this pair of super heavy laser cannons.
There are also four of these heavy lasers,
I love the way these medium lasers turned out.
A pair of light lasers at the back.
the engines.
The engineering section and airlock.
The chair on the right is were the two tactical nukes are launched from.
The ship actually has a pair of standard height, standard constuction moonbase connectors.
The 8" long Widow maker.
The bridge has space for 5 and the captain.
The shield generator.
And the single best feature...
A giant Hammer and Sickle on the Bow! Just below is the Widow Maker.
Sorry about the bad pictures. This an entry in the big ships contest from J+B.

The Widow Maker isn't meant to be all-powerful like the gun on the sonks, it's just a big gun.

LOVE the hammer and sickle, The bridge layout is win, but needs a central swivel chair so the captain can look out the front and back windows.
The turrets are also great, but the main gun, the widowmaker as you call it, looks tacked on at last minute. It deserves some greebles in the back, or some sort of generator, or at least a rear manual control panel. As it is, It just looks like a barrel that abruptly stops, like someone forgot to add the firing mechanism or something.

I think he meant the turrets on the top. Your bridge is at the front, but the only gun that can shoot that way is the widowmaker and a couple of other guns. All your larger cannons are behind the bridge, how are they going to shoot at things in front of the ship?

Yeah, but I gonna make manuverable so that will be less of a problem.

At first I thought it was back to front but once I got what way it was pointed I figured it out. I don't think they would have the Heavy Superlasers pointed at the bridge, maybe turn them around to face the rear? However, this is a very nice ship, lots of guns. I like the colour and I'm envious as hell of those bridge glass canopy things. I think Natalya set the bench mark when it comes to posting these ships in that I have a hunger to see/read more details about them. How many crew? Can we see them? What type of weapons, stats if possible please? Sliding doors, what's inside? That sort of thing.
General Question:
How do you all measure your ships. I use a tape measure and I'm having trouble seeing with how long these ships seem to be. Probably a trick of perception. I've just enlarged the Thunderchilds forward decks and she's just 40" which is massive but I've still to start the Engine room at the rear. Also does the height figure into how big a ship is (like tonnage - I know, that's water displacement), you would think it would somehow. Just curious.

Unfortunatly I don't have any crew yet. She is 40" long. Maybe if you have more than one deck then you could multiply the size by 1.5 in terms of weapons.

good color schemin, though i would sugest thatyou move the primary turret to a shared housing with your heavy laser cannons on the side so that they have a clear field of foire and if an even more generous field of fire is needed move them out slightly on booms/towers.

In Vanilla 2005 BrikWars, height and width do not matter. Length in inches is where stats are derived from. I measured my ship with a sewing tape (better than a yardstick because it can bend to better follow the actual ship length), but really the most accurate way is to measure it in studs, then set out some plates set up exactly as long as the ship is in studs, then measure those plates.
Btw I love the ship and the Hammer & Sickle. How do the airlocks open btw?

he has the lego glass doors placed on the inside creating an airlock
