I used some of the ships in a months-long space campaign last summer. None of the other players had more than one capital ship. It was rather unfair.

MONTH LONG CAMPAIGN!!!!!!!!

Yeah check my photosteam, I think a few pictures of the ships were in some of the battles. Due to the rather uneven distribution of the teams, I didn't get to use my full fleet until the very end. And I think one of the other players was in charge of photographing that battle, which means they'll never get posted

The armor construction on these looks similar to Vol capital ship design...

...this could be the race/faction from which they stole/traded.

Really nice technique with these ships. The hull plating gives them a great overall appearance but when you look close up there's still a lot of detail. Awesome work.

Great work, interior and all. The only remark I can give is that the guns seem kinda small.

I have no idea who the 'Vol' are.

@Bragallot, I'm glad someone finally noticed. I thought the flag on the front of the General Lee was a dead giveaway to what I was going for.

As for the guns, aside from the monster on the front of the blue ship, they are all 2" or 3", because anything larger is very difficult to hit anything with. Particularly going at 20"/turn.

Lol, hadn't noticed the flag yet. As someone who's pretty interested in history and has had to do some research on the American Civil War I luckily recognized a few more names than just Lee's alone though

You mean you even built this fleet with the tactical picture in mind?

In that case, I'm no expert but... since they will not be firing at figs won't it be much easier to hit their targets even with bigger guns just like smaller guns would work better against fighters? Since big guns will mostly be used on big enemy ships?

No one else had ships this big, so I just covered my ships with double barreled turrets to take out whatever came nearby. Actually the biggest threat was infantry shooting out the windows and jumping inside with jetpacks. I immediately removed said windows, and armed the crew with handguns.
