Introducing the "Golden Bough"
The first of it's kind! A minifig-scale Railgun Frigate!

After GRs of studying and building Railgun weapons and technology, the Vol have achieved a level of mastery well beyond any other faction in the known universe,
that masterpiece is now ready to see action on any and all Vol front-line skirmishes.





Her primary weapon is a Category 40 railgun, according to my custom railgun rule which I will post a little later.
Secondary armaments include category 4 railgun turrets, 10 Mk 4 Höd missiles and 10 Mk 3 Trident missiles.
Tertiary point-defenses (for killzone tactics) consist of 5 Point-range laser turret banks.

hurl a magnetic mine or two at it and problem solved.

I hope the separate crew and engine compartment can separate.
then you can do a star trek man over but instead of a warp core
you jettison the main gun.

Actually, this is what I like to call a "Modular Frigate" meaning that the engines/cabin is the same as this one.

Whoa. That is one impressive railgun. I like the way you tried to show the exposed machinery, and the missiles hanging off the sides are pretty cool.

It's very well built. Looks extremely powerful on the offensive but also vulnerable. Well who cares more explosions

It's a giant gun with smaller guns on it! I love it.

meh. I like the rail gun but it could use some work and the rest of the ship is just plan boring. Seems like everyones idea of a big ship frond here is to do a carbon copy of AF's ships. Make it long make it then and add a big gun.

Nice job Tue, I to have been experimenting rail weapon designs for the MAOX forces, and don't know if you are aware of it, but a super weapon is under construction, almost the size of this ship, in its final state, probably bigger! Here, take a look at this sneak peak (already in my artwork thread)...

I kinda like it, the proportions look weird though, it's 80% railgun and 20% frigate

Very nice, I like the concept of building a ship around a weapon, like the Ion Frigates in Homeworld. Now you just need a target big and slow enough to hit!

I think Strana's fleet fills that requirement.
