This is the Thanatos hovertank.
Image
It is equipped with a heavy railgun capable of firing a wide variety of shells.
Image
It is also equipped with a medium size minigun for anti infantry and aircraft work.
Image
side view showing of the communications array.
Image
the advanced hoverthruster capable of reentry into orbit makes this tank similar in purpose to the tau hammerhead and devilfishes.
Image
the railgun can pivot quite high here showing the blue targeting sensor and a targeting laser for calling in other tanks ordinance.
Image
the minigun effective against infantry and aircraft.
Image
it opens to show the two crewmembers sitting side by side.
Image
and the cargo hold currently holding a sqaud of combat androids.
Image
They can exit through a small hatch in the rear.
Image
Heres the crew and combat squad (with officer)
Image
Here is how the interior looks unoccupied.
Image
Here is the surprise.
Image
The hatches open to reveal...
Image
A hugin UAV
Image
armed with two light repeaters the hugin is mostly used for scouting or as a bait in ambushes
Image
Here is the hugin next to an AN gladiator why a gladiator? well no reason at all

Cool, but if the turret can't rotate I think it would work better as an artillery platform. It sure looks like one if you put the gun up.

Very nice interior I can never manage to make a good inside to anything. Got any tips on how to make a good inside to a vehicle.

Interesting vehicle. I like the overall look and clean lines. The Drone is a nice touch.

I do admit I would have rather seen two seperate vehicles: A tank (with a main gun that could traverse) and a seperate cargo/APC/artillery type vehicle. But you did a good job of combining them all into one.

Good Job! :D

Thanks for all the comments :D

@daniel well i tried to make the turret traverse but it was to big and looked just odd(its not like i gonna put it inside my SHIP WIP with a heatshield and a launchtrack
>_> <_<)

@bragallot hoverdrives are plenty manouverable so the tank can turn quite fast to bring its power to bear.

@kermit well i just tend to cram in as many levers and computers as possible and then kinda work from there but a general rule of thumb to make a interior is to have enough space to put all the levers and computers and seats etc

@ross_varn

not now unfortunatly my camera eats batteries and my charger is busted so sorry :(

EDIT: spelling

aH! Here it is!

Nice job dude, to bad the turret can't rotate, even though its a hover tank, having a turnable turret always provides a precious 360ยบ firing angle. Also, I would recommend you to use 2x1x6 bricks for the barrel. Using typical 2x1x1 bricks doesn't make it has sturdy and straight has otherwise.

Besides that, this beast has plenty of goodies, cockpit is awesome, wasnt expecting it could hold infantry inside and the way the UAV fits and appears is just magic.

and im propably going to make a light tank with a turning turret

EDIT: i made a separate topic for the SHIP WIP 3,0

This thing's pretty cool. I'd suggest cleaning up the back area a little (top is okay but sides are random -- smooth it out) and maybe a different rail gun design. I know what you were going for with it but at the same time it's made of 1 x 2's and doesn't look like a gun.

Pretty awesome hover tank, fredde. I'm still amazed that it can fit four soldiers in there while still being slim.

@natalya do you mean the sides of the turret or the sides of the barrel If you meant the sides of the barrel then I am propably going to redo it but the sides of the turret look like that in order for the UAV hatch to open properly.

also thanks for all the comments :D
