The turret is built pretty well, here's one minor tweak you could do to make it a little harder to kill. On the bottom hinge peice, the one that is holding the turret up, the vertical one. Instead of just having the grate there, you could put a 1X4, or 1X3 so the joint is covered from frontal assaults.
