'Mech Hangar, Pirate Pad

Here is the Pirate Pad.

Image

The Pirate Pad is the awesome crash pad for Jack Mannen's pirate crew. Not the kind that sail the seven seas. Not the murdering thieving plundering kind (that takes all the glamour out of it). Well, actually the plundering and thieving parts. Whatever. Just think of them as futuristic Robin Hoods and it'll all be cool.

The crew of crazed cons and a Capellan below.

Image

From left to right: The Fuffler (cult), Lance Armstrong, who sometimes crashes here, Dust who is not by any means a stereotype, Jake the Elemental (note he is one-handing an AK47), Tony the Italian race mechanic (who does BattleMechs in a pinch), the Infamously Awesome Jack Mannen, Jimbo the Aussie Shock Trooper, Felifious Bander who decided his band of mercenaries wasn't cool enough, and Dwight the Blade. Finally, the guy on the far right who clearly doesn't want to be in the picture is Wu the Capellan mechanic, who was working on Cougar while it was being stolen by Jack. Don't be sour, Wu. You only suffered minor burns from the air around that heatsink.
Not Pictured: Comrade Bat

Image

Here Jake sports a cocky grin. You would too if you could heft one of those. ( I decided to try a different minigun design on this one. It turned out pretty well I think.) Lance poses by his bike.

Image

Bander stands on top of the company tank, called Box Cutter, PDW in hand. Box Cutter sports an AC-10 autocannon. More on Box Cutter later.

Image

Tony at the consoles, making a routine check of the Coug's normals. Note all the NeuroHelmets lying around, and Jimbo's hat. Dusty checks the less than legal inventory.

Image

A stolen stealth drone, courtesy Wu, who obtained the activation codes. Who could it belong to? Note the upside down Dopeshark and the red X. Wu pilots this thing like a champ.
Also pictured: Turbo'd Hovercycle, which requires some serious arm strength to ride (there is no seat). In background: Jimbo wielding an anti-materiel rifle and Comrade Bat (not an original idea). An aloof Dwight is blocked by the Turbo'd Hovercycle in this picture.

Image

Here is the regular transportation, when they need to buy cream or cereal or something and aren't trying to steal everything in a 5-jump radius. It is a highly collectible Petrolpunk Hoverroadster, which is actually not stolen.
Note light armor, bullet hole in windshield, and dual pulse lasers for deadly midair duels.

Image

The Infamously Awesome Jack Mannen. Here he shows off his own invention. What's that? You thought this was some sissy bolt gun or something? No. This is a Super HammerCannon. Complete with sword bayonet. The Super is there for a reason.
Bolt gun.... pshhh...

Here, some boring build pictures.

Thanks guys :3:3:D:D

I've been hiding all this in individual pieces scattered cleverly in several different lego bins to ensure the security of my intellectual property.

Actually I went on a BUILDING SPREE! before The Holidays and after Exams. A couple things like the Hoverroadster and Hovercycle I've had for a while, but everything else is new.

At first, I thought I was going to make something that resembled a modern-day tank. Then as I realized how I would have to build the treads, I thought, screw it. This is going to look like a caricature no matter what. Hence the ridiculously short barreled autocannon... XD
All was a blast to build though. The drone was supposed to be another hovercar but turned out differently.

The little yellow speeder looks like the kind of thing I want in my army. Permission to copy/use as inspiration?

Go for it! This calls for some serious proliferation of awesome steampunk speeders.

EDIT: I started building a while ago, anyway I haven't quite finished it yet but here's some pictures:

It has a minigun, strong flashlight and a tailgate (currently folded down).

It is a WIP at the moment but no doubt I will get it finished soon.

Oh wow, pretty sweet work. Moar pics of the mech! You from Hotlanta? Cus Natalya going to have a hard-on that she's finally got some neighbors.

Yes, I am from HOTLANTA! Which is obfuscated in my Location by a spelling error that sounded too cool to trash.

That's a cool speeder, the minigun and weapons cache is a nice touch.

I still have misgivings about the mecha's legs, but everything else here is full of win. I especially love that mini gun and the Box Cutter. Everything here is Incredibly Awesome!!
