The Bane

The Bane is my new carrier. It holds a total of 8 fighters in the 2 wings and is my latest attempt to avoid boxiness. I'll also be posting my new antimissile frigate, the Dirk. The fact that I am posting a carrier after Natalya said this:
Natalya wrote: This ship's primary enemy is enemy star fighters
actually is a coincidence(yeah the Bane would last about 5 seconds against the Longinus but whatever). Sorry about the images, the could be better and if you have any ideas of pics I should take, your input is welcomed.

Image
The prow of the beast, the skeleton head was the best I could do
Image
From above. See the wings?
Image
The missile box. Once the missiles are fired, it is ejected to give the guns a better line of fire
Image
The EMP missile battery, the missiles are recharged to keep the ship's PD from disappearing too quickly.

The bay door open

Engineering
Image
A horrible view of the engines
Image
The crew quarters.
Image
The bridge, the ship is designed to split into 3 parts for storage. I screwed up and now it has to be disassembled to get at the interior
Image
Medbay
Image
The mess hall and airlock. The airlock is positioned forwards so attackers have farther to go to get to the important parts of the ship.
Image
A secret compartment used to smuggle covert ops teams around
Image
The airlock from the outside and the name of the ship.
Image
A view of the side of the ship
Image
The engine
Image
The hatch the covert ops team exit's through. It is the only way in or out of the compartment and is usually covered by the missile launcher.

C&C requested, Required, and Demanded. Say something dammit

Love the face. Can it bite other ships?
Nicely done! Though, I don't understand why people keep building carriers that launch fighters forward...

Impressive! Most impressive. Light Carriers are awesome IMO. Shame these aren't allied.

I think it should be able to bite into other ships. That would be epic.

Goddammit. I was trying to avoid the giant space box look. The wings were to break that up and the body was slanted inwards to avoid that too. The body had to go in a straight line though.

Thank you all for the C&C though

well, the back part looks good, but the front section is pretty much a rectangle with a face on it. Maybe just have a better transition between the two areas, then it would look much nicer.

While the main compartment is still essentially boxy, those fighter bays certainly help reduce the overall boxiness. It's certainly an awesome ship though, I love the amount of detail crammed into the interior and the well-designed and snug fighter bays. This ship sure has a lot of character.

In the wall sections, add side details (greebling). Use pegs and the briks with side studs to add detail to remove the straight :boxy: shape.
