Inquistadorial Dreadnought

The Hyena-class Dreadnought is the stock-standard assault vehicle for the Inquistadores, used in virtually all of their campaigns.

Image

The sturdy look happened because I wanted it to have the same 'feel' as the Dragonheads: 'it's an old design, but we still trust it.'

Image

Armed with a dual heavy repeater laser to strike down infantry or fight light to medium vehicles.

Image

And burst rockets, equally useful against air and ground targets.

Like most Inquistadorial designs, the frame is mostly known for its toughness. Known weaknesses are artillery or much heavier, meaner vehicles because of their lack of speed, but other than that the Hyena can give a good account of himself in pretty much any battle situation.

How are those legs attached? looks like it could use a bit more armor...

The goofy look only reminds me of the armoured knights of old. In other words, I could make fun of it, but it would probably kill all my infrantry.

Close-ups of the legs.

It's probably not so clear from the pics, but I put the 'claw hand' piece through a black disc, then through a red pip that was put into a 1x2 brick with an opening in them, then attached that to the 2x1 piece the 'flag' is attached to. I have a couple of ideas to make the legs beefier, if that's what you mean.

I like the phone crotch, but those legs are puny compared to the rest of it.

:?
While I understand you're going for an "old" look, it comes across more "walking brick" than "dread" to me. Aside from that, you accomplished the "old" feel well, but those legs could use work.

The legs are now beefier.

It works just as well with catapult ammo.

Better, maybe shorten the torso a bit now? It's a bit too tall to be a dread.

Well, the Hyena head probably makes him look taller than he really is: there's a pilot in there, and he only just fits. I could try smoothening up and shortening the midsection a bit though. I hope I have some red / black slopes left to make the hips look more natural.

Could you lower the weapons a little?
That would make his center of gravaty lower and thus less top heavy.

Maybe if you made it a bit wider than it wouldn't look so tall.

Unexpected.
