I've started a Minecraft Unabridged server, which currently just consists of myself. The server is named "Screaming Neptune" as the title indicates (the product of a random name generator).

Unabridged is based on 1.7.10 and offers a "sandbox" experience of mods, with no fixed progression or gameplay limitations. Some are balanced, some suck, and some are OP. The pack is designed around the idea of combining whatever mods you want in creative ways, and setting the difficulty for yourself.

Unabridged, being a large modpack, may have rather high system requirements -- a 64-bit system is recommended, with ample ram and at least a dual core processor. Installing Optifine and reducing settings can make it playable on lesser machines, however.

There are no "features" such as Lockette or such, which I strongly dislike and consider unneeded. Instead, I have only one rule: Don't be a dick.
If you can't follow that rule, you will be removed from the whitelist. I've never had to do this on any server I've run in the past, but who knows, it might come into play.

To install Unabridged you need to install the ATLauncher, and enter pack code "unabridged".

If you're interested in playing, just post here to be whitelisted. No screenshots yet as I have just reset the world and have barely begun building a base at spawn.

This is pretty nuts, I don't even know where to start. For now I've moved away from the main base, aways to the north west in some swampy area. I'm gonna try and figure out at least some of the mods I haven't used before, but this looks pretty cool.

EDIT: Why can't I make a wood or bone pickaxe head with TConstruct? Is it a thing on the server, like a config setting, or a glitch?

Pretty sure you can only make a stone pickaxe head with TCon. I start with a vanilla wood pick and then make a TCon stone pick, then upgrade it to iron once I get some.
