yeah this instance was like 3 3/4 years ago but that's not much considering the glacial pace that the wiki gets content added or edited; if anything it just goes to show that vandalism can last for literal years on the wiki
this bot in question vandalized a fuckton of pages (varying from faction pages to entire brikfics), only pattern I could find in this bot's behavior was nuking anything to do with nazis or the word "pedo" and marking them for deletion
I know saying that the wiki isn't well maintained isn't anything new but I'd appreciate if someone with an account there could deal with unvandalizing the wiki in general
hell, why not give me an account so I can fix things myself and add new content to the wiki

I can add you to the wiki - hopefully I remember how that works - but cleanupcrew is an approved cleanup guy, and those are approved edits.

Re: Stumbled upon some mass vandalism bot on the wiki
ok cool
so I guess that's also approving it nuking innocent (or relatively innocent) content for no reason
i am definitely being trolled
even then i don't think it's really necessary to delete that stuff - from what I can tell the BW wiki is self hosted so there's not really any risk of moral guardians discovering the wiki, seeing some old but objectionable (by moral guardian standards) stuff out of context, and immediately whining to host janitors about stuff they dislike.
also it feels a bit excessive to nuke everything related to a certain subject generally agreed upon by the majority of people as bad, even if it's criticizing said subject/supporters of said subject
after all, those who forget history are doomed to repeat it
in other words whoever approved the bot should probably clean up after its collateral damage (if this was approved) or clean it up in general (if it wasn't actually approved and you're just joking about it being approved) but if it's the former then i'd expect someone to at least have cleaned up the accidental deletions of stuff that could have stayed by now

Seems less like vandalism or censorship and more like a (former) member distancing themselves from their older content.

Re: Stumbled upon some mass vandalism bot on the wiki
reasonable enough theory but some of the stuff deleted had nothing to do with what i'm presuming was fedophile/fedonuker or whoever that wiki account's owner was
either he deleted some stuff unrelated to his older content as collateral damage, or he used a bot to do it
