Thread updated. If anyone's unfamiliar with these, now's the time to check them out, before my pictures break again. ;)

Quick question: was there ever a battle/soap about why the Empire rebelled against the Kingdom? The only reference I could find to it was the fluff text that used to be on this page.

Edit: Nevermind, it's in the sign-up for Enemy at the Gates.

Also, I (humbly of course) would suggest sticking this at the top of the list since it has a lot of useful backstory: http://brikwars.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9314

That thread is a bit outdated, it was going to be the reference page for a written story (with pictures) that would be a more detailed account of the story told in the battles, with notable differences here and there (not all of it aligns completely with the story told through the battles). I ended up writing the first chapter but I realized there were a lot of logistical problems with making it a story like the one on The Kingdom Of Ikros (my biggest LEGO inspiration to date) as I'd originally planned.

So I've decided that the battles should simply tell the story as well as possible and went back and rewrote some stuff (without retconning anything) to make it more cohesive. What really sucks is that the beginning of the story (first 3 rounds of Grave Tidings) are missing their pictures (kinda my fault). Maybe, I should rebuild the battlefield and replace those pictures...

The post definitely isn't useless though. I could definitely edit it a bit and make it a character / world reference page.

It is somewhat outdated, but I found it an interesting read, especially regarding some of the more minor characters (Kerratians especially) and it gives more insight into the backstory and character of everybody, including stuff that hasn't been seen in the battles or soaps. I don't know how interesting other people might find it, but as someone who's been thinking about writing fantasy myself, I can really appreciate the detailed worldbuilding.

You know, you did tease us about the future of that undead mage that escaped after Grave Tidings, and since you might be needing some new villains soon . . .

I'm glad you like it. :) I enjoy the storytelling aspect of it as much as the actual gameplay. I used to be on this forum ( giveupalready.com ) where there was a very free form RPG environment called 'The Battle Arena' - I used to write on that site until it pretty much died, then started writing by myself on DeviantArt ( https://www.deviantart.com/teano/gallery/ ). So I've always enjoyed it.

Oh yeah, that mage. I wonder what ever happened to him. :mystery:
