This is my first battle report!
Me and my friend played a quikwars game of Japanese forces attacking a border outpost to Brettonia.
Firstly, the armies
The Japanese moved up
The commander attempted a heroic feat to smack his horse and have it bolt towards the enemy lines, but he just ends up falling off and will have to take an action to get up next turn. Talk about embarrassing.
Brettonian turn, the armoured troops move to a better defensive position.
The dwarven troops squad up.
The queen, seeing the enemy commander is down, attempts to slam him with a magical lightning bolt as a heroic feat...
She rolls awfully, but the Japanese commander critfails to stop it.
So, one failed health roll later, the enemy commander was killed by my warlord. Awesome!
The Japanese were dazed, but the 2ic splits off from the samurais squad to get on the commanders horse and take command.
The spears move up to try to attack the dwarves, but they slightly fall short.
In response, the dwarves flank attack the spears.
The queen attempts to throw another magical bolt at the samurai, but...
It explodes in her hand, the eleven damage killing her and her horse. Jesus, these heroes suck....
At this point, both heroes were dead, and there wasn't going to be any more awesome action, just troops slugging it out with each other, so we decided to call it a draw
It was an entertaining game, but it would have been better if we would have had more time and larger armies.
