When the game takes longer then 30 minutes.

Kids just don't want to go longer then that. Tough to have a larger game when they swoop on me to mom

Have you ever tried to show him the rulebook? I assume that you have it at arm's length at least 90% of the day.

I've never done a game but my main killer BEFORE I start is that no-one has read the rules and so, it becomes 'unfun'

haha, I did the exact same thing the first time I played BrikWars. We were trying to use such large armies that it took forever before there was even any bloodshed, and eventually everyone got bored.

Problem is if game last too long, or too big battle area (take forever move, no lots of action or deaths). Sometimes some players don't want even start...

Ussualy I start playing with my friend and the worst part is waiting through your friends turn. once I had a 3 way battle (2 people in two teams and a 6 person team in the middle) and one of my friends used the rule of fudge to say minifigs could move anywhere and gave the enemys the flag because he thought it was taking to long. But what really p%@$#d me off was I made it the perfect battle-field. My side had two walls, and a cave, a garage in the cave to get in and anything else you'd want.
