I haven't been playing for long, so it is probably not too painful in comparison to others, but I had a catapult operator in a viking fort, fighting a castle/outpost/thing of knights and a boat of pirates. The hero from the knights had just killed a guy, and used his heroic feat to kick the guy's head at the catapult operator, with a damage roll. The feat succeeded, and the head was kicked. The damage roll was 9, and a guy ended up dead from having a head kicked at him. He had just recently critical failed using a catapult and killed several of his own, so it was a good death.

my friend has this destroyer with a single missile bay in the front, the problem is that it connects to the main troop compartment.

in one battle, he fired his missile and the next turn i got my own nuke into the bay, when it exploded, the ship went down bleeding flames.(it was a big ship and a small nuke)

Heroism is not the ability to kick ass. It is the willingness to use this ability on any poor bastard who so much as looks at you funny.

my worst defeat was when a single suicide drone got past the defences of my base and then blow up causeing massive damage, it only managed it though a lot of luck with bounus dice, 1d6 radius ended as 14" radius and 1d6 damage ended as 20 damage!
Kerbal Rocketry(my youtube with actual videos on it!)

iIthink my own was when my hero (armed with a rocket launcher and a 2h weapon) was charged by a gaint awesomeosaurus, when trying to work out the ramming distance it rolled three ones, resulting in it tripping over and crushing him. it happened to crush him with its massive jaws (which were open)

On the first turn of a battle with my brother, I moved my only-explosive-armed mech next to a pool of lava. Come my brothers turn, moves his tank out and blows the mech's knee-joint away with it's size 3 laser (damn to-hit crits), sending it missile-pod first into the lava. A 4d10 explosion ensued, destroying it, the pilot and severely slowing my army by the wreckage blocking point where I had planned to launch my main assault.
Needless to say, things didn't exactly improve from then on in.
I did learn something however: don't have lava pools so close to the starting zones and don't spend over half your points on a damn mech!
Why does my favorite vehicle type have to suck so? :(

You could strap some peaches to the joints instead of wasting valuable enclosed helmets on them, use them as meat shields. Not sure if it'd be that effective at all, but at least they'd die :)

... thinking of it, that would give more people the idea of aiming for the joints tho, but I guess you already ruined it

He killed a raging polar Bear with a chainsaw. then, you know that Endor Set? The new one? well...The other team had a guy go up to the controls, and i was killed off by A BLAST DOOR. THAT ONLY HIT MY CHAINSAW!

My worst death

Post by Sarge » Sat Sep 26, 2009 5:28 pm

Mine was when I was having a battle with two other people. After my robo ninja did a total cliche blade rush through a mechs leg, he was put in the middle of the road.Inevitebly, he got hit by a car. That kept driving straight into a nuclear reactor.

We played CTF, and a trooper sprinted into the wall with two crits. We calculated the damage: d6. He rolled a crit again. So, poor trooper finished his run without a complete head.
