Violence Near-Unending

Part 2: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=12542
Some friends and I got together and had a merry violencefest and it's worth posting here, as the others have not (because for once they both grew some patience). I don't know what I'm doing so... I'm sorry for what may or may not follow. Hopefully the image resizing didn't turn them all to shit.
So let's get started!
Let's talk lore. I'm a terrible writer, so how about pictures!

The Grek hero, Ares, and the Dragons hero, Letholdus, stand watching the last of the newly manufactured Grek Fire bolts loaded for shipment. A messenger (not pictured because effort) informs them that unidentified ships have landed on the beach!

It's true! But how did silly goblins get organized enough to stage an invasion?

Because they were gathered by Robbart the Deposed, exiled king of Crimeareera!

Ares puts on his helmet...

And makes ready for battle.
Overview before the game begins. Turn Order: Deposed - Greks - Dragons
Deposed Objectives: Gain a foothold on the beach, Robbart must survive
Grek Objectives: Hold the beach, ship the remaining ballista bolts, Polydorus (pictured later) the Elephant Captain must survive
Dragon Objectives: Hold the beach, Letholdus must survive

TURN 1 - DEPOSED

Ramen engineers were recruited for their skills with siege machines. Here they unload a catapult while heavily armored axemen move up.

More of the same.

Robbart jumps off the bow and is surrounded by Crimeareean troops still loyal to him.

An archer moves up to the bow. The catapult to his right is loaded but isn't pictured.
TURN 1 - GREKS

All the Grek archers fire, but none can do any damage.

Polydorus orders his Mermaidons to move up and secure the barricade. Also, Grek infantry and Ares' war chariot on the right flank move up.

A ballista bolt is loaded
TURN 1 - DRAGONS

The front rank archer moves out of the Mermaidons way, while the rest of the Dragons units decide to play defensively.

Turn 1 Overview
TURN 2 - DEPOSED

Ramen engineers strip their arms to better load the piece and hope to overawe the Greks with their show of abs-manship.

Two goblins load another catapult and this goblin high-steps his way forward. The heavily armed axemen to his left advance as well.

Robbart and his Guard move up.

Glory of the Deposed!

Lacking the chiseled abs of their brothers, these Ramen simply fire their catapult...

... killing Letholdus horse! However Letholdus is unharmed. The archer on the ship misses and the other group of goblins advances.
TURN 2 - GREKS

Grek shock troops bowl over one of the axemen and kill him.

Ares, a true embodiment of the Brikwars spirit to challenge stereotypes, lets his lover, Enyo, drive his chariot.

Together they super drift the chariot over a barricade so that Ares can leap into the other axeman.

But his rolls suck and they tie on their MOM and POP dice. No damage done.

An archer annihilates a Crimeareeran footsoldier on a massive overskill.

The final bolt is loaded.
TURN 3 - DRAGONS

Archers fail to do damage while the Armored Core of the Dragons decide to take a more offensive battle plan.

While Letholdus stands up in a rage, these soldiers crit fail to move over this obstacle and can only stare at it in bewilderment.

Turn 2 Overview
TURN 3 - DEPOSED

Ramen engineers know nothing of "minimum range" and blow the head off one of the Grek soldiers.

Gleeful Goblin advances

Goblins fire the only ammunition available for their dual-catapult.

One is more successful than the other.

Robbart vaults the barricade and his archer kills a Mermaidon.

Robbart and a spearman combine to kill the other.

Goblins try to intercept the Armored Core

And one pays dearly for that mistake. The self-conscious Ramen reload their catapult.
TURN 3 - GREK

The infantry split to engage the engineers. Also note that all the archers fail to get kills.

Enyo ditches the chariot and grabs a beach defense, but can't quite make it to the stalemate.

Polydorus winds up...

And slings his sword into Robbart's teeth! It does no damage.

Polydorus grabs a fallen spear.

Fully loaded, the ammunition cart begins to make it's way out.
TURN 3 - DRAGONS

The sword company arrives, but doesn't do anything useful.

An archer ruins a goblin, freeing the Armored Core to engage the catapult.

A nice sprint roll gets the engineer killed.

Letholdus uses a feat to summon a new steed. However all he can get is a cow from Robbart's ship.
REINFORCEMENTS! Greks receive javelin throwers from the countryside while the Deposed get a few more goblins and orks

Turn 3 Overview
TURN 4 - DEPOSED

This Ramen engineer tries to charge out of harm's way...

But he loses on a counter, as does his unpictured brethren on the other side of the catapult.

Gleeful Goblin gets a kill.

Lots of violence takes place, but no damage.

Goblins move up and one crit fails a sprint over a barricade so he falls on his face and everyone laughs at him.

Robbart backhands a Dragon footsoldier to death while his companion on his left kills a Grek archer.

As an ork company moves toward the Armored Core, the engineer hits a crit success to launch the catapult by himself.

A huge damage roll (and some stupidity on the part of the Dragons' commander) leads to Letholdus' cow being slain as well as the loss of 1 HP (1 remains)

TURN 4 - GREKS
Greks steal a pig and watch the other company use their harsh training to turn a 180 and kill both goblins behind them. Enyo reaches Ares but they still can't kill the axeman.

The bolts move out. Not pictured, the chariot flees (foreshadowing?) and Polydorus moves into the fray in the center. All Grek archers fail to kill again.
TURN 4 - DRAGONS

Both gate watchmen make successful jumps off the gate.

In a blind rage, Letholdus moves his whole whopping 2.5 inches toward Robbart.

As do the Armored Core

Sword company fails again, but an archer kills a Crimeareeran spearman.

Turn 4 Overview
TURN 5 - DEPOSED

A troll shows up (the source of the chariot horse's fear) and flips some boats...

... killing 2 Greks. Advancing goblins also manage to kill a Dragon sword off-camera

Sick and tired of the stalemate, Ares uses a response feat to call Immortal Fire from the heavens...

The blast of fire kills the axeman and obliterates Enyo and takes one of Ares HP (1 remains)
[Immortal fire can only spread, and will 1" for each turn that Ares takes his action]

Robbart kills another Dragon footsoldier while Polydorus kills a spearman on a successful counter.

Orks attack the Armored Core but only to lose one of their own while Super Ramen reloads the catapult.

Gleeful Goblin engages the javelin throwers but doesn't do any damage.
TURN 5 - GREKS

Polydorus, enemy of all things mirthful, ends Gleeful Goblin's life.

Ares, angry that his actions caused the death of Enyo, uses his feat to become Fire Ares by consuming Immortal Fire. (+5" to move and +1 to damage roll)

Under cover of the javelin throwers, Ares sprints to engage the troll. They combine to knock out 2 HP (2 remain)

Stuck with many javelins, the troll growls at Ares. He gets attacked by the other Grek infantry squad and they take another HP (1 remains)

Ares used his action, so the fire spreads another inch. Not pictured: the cart of ballista ammunition advances (1 turn until it successfully leaves)
TURN 5 - DRAGONS

Letholdus strides towards Robbart and attacks him. Before dice were rolled Robbart attempted a feat (which we allowed, must to the Dragons' commanders chagrin) to feign weakness to trick Letholdus. It fails! (+1 all Letholdus' rolls this turn) Robbart takes 1 HP of damage (1 remains)

Archers fail to kill Robbart, the Armored Core and orks clash in the distance but to no avail.

Turn 5 Overview
TURN 6 - DEPOSED

Sick of missing so much, the Deposed archer jumps into the surf. Behind the ship a few more goblins and orks show up.

The orks lose another to an Armored Core counter and gain support from the reinforcements but they can't help out until next turn. The engineer hits another crit success (!!!!) to fire the catapult.

It smashes into Letholdus, doing no damage but disrupting him.

No change in this melee

Robbart uses feat "evil monologue" and it succeeds! +2 to damage roll this turn

It works! Robbart kills Letholdus.

Robbart celebrates!

This causes the weak-hearted Dragons to flee (all save the Armored Core)
TURN 6 - GREK

Fire Ares and his fellows slay the troll

The Grek forces retreat towards the ammunition cart, in case of stupid calamity while the javelins fail to harm some goblins
TURN 6 -DRAGONS ARMORED CORE

The Armored Core uses a fighting retreat trying to get to the edge of the map and take no casualties from the free counters.

Final Overviews
Deposed Objectives: Gain a foothold on the beach, Robbart must survive TOTAL SUCCESS
Grek Objectives: Hold the beach, ship the remaining ballista bolts, Polydorus (pictured later) the Elephant Captain must survive 1/3 FAILURE

There it is. Hope it was enjoyable.
