Prologue: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=13439
The continuing episodes are below.
On a previously uncharted planet, in the midst of strange waters, a solitary lifeboat drifts with the current.

A flash of motion, and the surfer is yanked under the surface of the water.

The sharks rise for breakfast, round two.

The first one is immediately blasted by Guroc's beloved 3" turret.

Duke Fury follows suit, lighting up the second shark.

Ms. Imperial Brown guides Maverick Jr. into the air, directing the destructive Laserfish towards the last shark on the surface.

But there are more than three sharks on the infested coastline, and sleek grey forms streak towards the lifeboat under the water.

Guroc misses the sharks altogether, but Duke Fury kills another with a shout and a 2" gun.

Imperial Brown misses the sharks as well, and they rush forwards, snapping at her and Mike the Medic.

Guroc blasts away one of the coastal predators as the ship drifts forward, pulled by the current.

Duke Fury fires a round into the beast, but it roars sharkily and continues towards the boat.

They lunge upward at Duke and Mike, missing them only by a few points.

Ms. Imperial Brown comes up with the brilliant strategy of blasting Duke's arm off, hoping to appease the sharks by feeding it to them. He's less than pleased.

Her attempt fails, but Mike the Medic extracts blood from her in a less violent fashion, sealing it in a capsule.

Guroc chucks the capsule into the water, though it doesn't travel as far as he'd like. However, the sharks go into frenzy, drawn away from the boat by the blood in the water.

Finally, the raft drifts to the shore of the island, and the survivors disembark onto a strange and sandy shore, strewn with debris.

Their victorious grins vanish as a group of raiders appears over the dunes. Although the adventurers do not know it, they are the feared Ebony Millinery, Helmeted Division.

Ms. Imperial Brown moves to open a nearby chest..

She flips open the chest, revealing an ancient map and a highly venomous spider. It leaps at her, Poisoning her.

Maverick Jr. takes revenge, incinerating it.

The Millinery charges forwards, and Guroc sets up his turret, preparing for battle.

Imperial Brown sprints away from Guroc and the scavengers, heading towards Duke Fury and Mike, who've headed over to a locked chest.

Duke and Mike attempt to blast and hack the chest open, to no avail.

Guroc blasts away the incoming leader of the raiding squadron, killing the horse and disrupting the Commander.

Imperial Brown performs a Heroic Action, unlocking the chest.

She brings forth a strangely twisted 2X2, glowing with dark energies. She adds it to her inventory.

Sir Fungal of the Helmeted Division charges towards Guroc, mace swinging.

Guroc responds appropriately.

The beleaguered knight is kicked back 2" and disrupted.

However, Guroc doesn't notice Commander Groom, weeping bitterly for his slaughtered steed, running up with a sword in hand..

And with a furious slash, the Gunner was killed.

Sir Fungal charges towards Imperial Brown, smashing her head with his mace, and she crumples to the ground.

She is avenged by Duke Fury. Maverick Jr. looks on in horror.

Mike the Medic successfully uses his Medical Tool to blind Sir Mange, causing him to stumble around randomly.

Another uninvited guest on a gunboat shows up, closing in from the waterline.

The Blue Heliad Hoppers, equipped with carbon-fiber glidepacks and top-of-the-line weaponry, land nearby.

Meanwhile the Gunboat destroys Commander Groom for not cooperating.

Sir Mange, still blinded, tosses down his weapon at the Hopper's command.

Mike the Medic darts over to Ms. Imperial Brown, reviving her with a Ker-Triage! He rolls up a Critical Success, and so she jumps to her feet..

And combines efforts with Duke Fury to blast the Hoppers to smithereens. Unfortunately, they fail to kill them by a hair.

The Hopper is less than pleased, and responds in kind.

Ms. Imperial Brown sidesteps a laser blast..

And proceeds to knock out both Hoppers in a twirling ballet of martial violence.

Mike revives Duke Fury, sans leg.

Sir Mange, now unsupervised, runs away as fast as his legs can carry him, contemplating how he'll explain failure to the General.

Whilst the Gunboat speeds off to a distant command center.

The beachhead calm for now, Imperial Brown, Mike the Medic, and a one-legged Duke Fury settle to the task of reviving Guroc and examining the dark cube she discovered..
There was a large rules change at this point, transitioning from a homegrown system with massive imbalance issues to something resembling Briksyd's RPG system. As such, EXP was calculated only after this opening episode.
Episode Two, coming sometime soon! Featuring the adventurer's plunge into unknown wilderness, plagued by the shadow of the Ebony Millinery, the mysterious Blue Heliad Corp., and a host of unforetold dangers..
