Ken and his ice golem companion make it to a small camp somewhere deeper in the Crags of Lorne. It is there that Ken meets a small group of Frostborne warriors and a few smaller men that he soon recognized were dwarves. At first, Ken’s arrival is met with suspicion, as a trio of men above in a watch tower train their instruments on him.
A man accompanied by a dwarf approach him.
"Ken!" The man greets, "you're alive?!"
"Well of course," Ken replied, "who are you?"
"I'm Kaptain Urgus, and this here is--"
"--Ohrim Gravelgrinder, of the Gravelgrinder clan!"
"Wow, I didn't know there were dwarves this far north," Ken said inquisitively.
"Neither did we until a few weeks ago," said Urgus. He explains that it has been nearly a month since Ken's disappearance at Pinewood, and since that time, Frostborne had slowly extended their borders and had discovered a clan of dwarves mining somewhere under the Crags. The Frostbornians were awed by the dwarves’ machinery and within a few days of careful negotiation, had established trade relations and even the beginning of an alliance. With their help, and under Jarl Barbous’s approval, Frostborne began extensive research, almost exclusively on the uses of gunpowder.
"Gods, what a beast of a machine!" Ken gaped when Urgus pointed out the results. These results included the massive contraption sitting behind the camp that they called the “Mammoth Siege-Sleigh”.
As well as the muskets that the men in the watchtower had sported.
The group turns around to notice that the golem had left.
"Yeti shit," grumbled Urgus, "there goes the Mammoth's only source of propulsion."
"Uh," replied Ken, "that's not the only thing we should be worried about."
"Awh hell," mutters Ohrim.
Only a short distance away, an army of undead are amassing.
As if skeletons amassing under organized ranks wasn't bizarre enough, a single member of the bony warriors seemed to stood out from the rest. "Time to kill us some fuckboys!" It shrieked with a shrill, ghostly voice.
Something else stood out almost as much as the hatted skeleton. To Ken's dismay, the QuantumStalker seemed to be leading them.
"...Now ̡I ͡c͜o̵m͜e͜t̀h͜ wi͠th ̴you͝r ͘nęx̕t̨ ̵u҉l̴t̕i̢mat͞um
A͞cco͡mpa̶n̕i̵e̡d ̢by ͠b̵o͢nes ͜án̕d ̷ca̕lc͢i͞um͞...."
"I can still barely understand what that guy's saying," Ken observed mostly to himself, but Urgus and Ohrim were too transfixed by their opposition to hear him.
Overwatch.
