Crazy Carpet Battle!

Post by TastySkippy123 » Mon Jun 06, 2016 4:17 am

Some members of our outback BW community got together a couple of nights ago and here are some action shots of what happened. Sorry for there being no gore and fire, I was a bit lazy. So the factions are:ZMC,Grendan Resistance Old Empire Initiative and P.L.E.

TURN 1

ZMC turn 1:ZMC went first. All they did was run across the carpet battlefield and took cover behind a bread tin rocky hill.

P.L.E turn 1:I decided to send in a tank battalion. My MBT went towards the ZMC sniping position while the light tank moved towards the ZMC troops near the rocky hill and opened fire, killing 4 including medic, which the ZMC commander wasn't happy about.

OEI turn 1: All their troops ran and hid in a messy pile behind some books hill.

Grendan Resistance turn 1: Their troopers hit the decks and took response fires on the OEI position.
Not many pics for this turn sorry.

TURN 2

ZMC turn 2; The hawk jet screams out of the sky and lets rip with its cannons on the bulldog, badly wounded it.The remaining two troops and the bushmaster let rip with everything they have and managed to destroy it. The troops at the sniping position start shooting at the tank, but their shoots harmlessly bounce of its armor.
Image

P.L.E turn 2: The tank moves up and triggers the ZMC sniper positions response fire but again their shots bounce off the tanks hard armor, the scorpion then shoots its MG and mows down all 3 troops at the position then fires its main cannon but just misses the bushmaster. The bulldogs drivers crawl out of the wreck and grab dead ZMC troopers weapons but don't have any actions left to shoot.

Driver:"Urgh, this is awkward."

Image

OEI turn 2: The whole army comes out from behind the hill and charges upon the GR position, triggering a snipers suppression fire and the shot rams into a trooper, but thanks to heavy armor he shrugs it off.
Image

Grendan Resistance turn 2: Their artillery crit fails and blows up three of their own men. After losing so many men to thier own fire, the army ignores command and charges strait into OEI supp fire, resulting in heavy casualties on both sides. The three dead men were taken off the battle field because their player had a hissy fit, so lets just say they were vaporised.
Image

TURN 3

ZMC turn 3: The hawk shoots at the drivers, he hits with one and crit fails with the other, killing the 2 troops along with the P.L.E drivers. The bushmaster drives back to support the snipers.
Image

P.L.E turn 3: The MBT shoots its main cannon and blows up the bushmaster. The tank re positions itself and takes a response fire with its MG in the air, waiting for the hawk to come about.
Image

OEI turn 3: Their forces continue charging forward and more units on both sides are again slaughtered. The officer uses his heroic feat to add extra damage to kill the enemy hero, but the GR hero uses his response to jump to cover.

Grendan Resistance turn 3: The artillery shoots and crit fails yet again, killing a nega blok conscript. The hero tries a feat but fails, instead he shoots a OEI soldier. The sniper shoots, but misses.
Aftermath of OEI and GR turns.
Image

TURN 4

ZMC turn 4:The hawk begins to recharge its weapons as it goes in a circle back around to face the P.L.E MBT.

P.L.E turn 4: The MBT shoots at the OEI and GR with its cannon but misses and the MG was out of range so it takes a supp fire in direction of the hawk.

OEI turn 4: They manage to kill the GR sniper. The rest move up and destroy the artillery and gun down the medic.

Yet another pic of carnage between the two sides.

GR turn 4: The hero shoots at the hardsuit but fails to overcome its armor.

TURN 5

ZMC turn 5: The hawk screams in, giving the tank everything its has, it takes out the shields but fails to do any damage. The tanks response fire wounds the jet.
Image

P.L.E turn 5: The scorpions cannon misses yet again and the machine gun wounds the jet down to its last HP.

OEI:The hardsuit severs the head off of the GR hero.Grendan resistance ELIMINATED! They then moves towards the tank but the hawk catches their eyes, so they decide to shoot at that instead as they had much better chance off killing it. They succeed, the pilot tries to bail but is killed in the explosion.ZMC ELIMINATED!

TURN 6

P.L.E turn 6: The tank moves forward but can't get in range of the OEI forces, so it takes a response fire.

OEI turn 6: They move forward, triggering the tanks suppression fire, though the cannon misses AGAIN and the MG killed two shock troopers. They shoot but can't break its armor.

Image

FINAL TURN,TURN 7

P.L.E turn 7: The tank finally hits with its cannon, decimating the hardsuit and two troopers. The MG mows down another then the tank runs over the OEI hero.OEI ELIMINATED!

Image

The battle is a...P.L.E VICTORY!!!

Here are some overwatch pictures.

The pics weren't great I agree, but I thought I did a pretty good job writing it down. This wasn't a proper battle report, just a summary of the action.

I can (unfortunately) second that.

Its the only one that was documented half properly. I might post the other one, but it only goes up to turn 2.
