[HH] Raid on Outpost Zeta [Turn 1-4] FINISHED 11/4/2018

Pirates
The pirates arrive at the outpost. Pirate Captain: You have about a minute before the guard comes back from his break to plant the bomb.

The troops hop off the ship

Guard on break

One of the pirates runs up and plants the bomb

He flips the switch and runs out of the way

BOOM

The robot awakens from its charge dock, sound the alert sound

Sniper hears this and runs back into his nest, but one of the pirates tossed a bomb into his path. it was too late

The bomb explodes, decapitating the sniper

The troops start to head towards their battle stations

Crimson: I need this ship ready to go now! One of you needs to get in a tank and handle this!


turns should come more steadily from here on out, Ill aim for daily or every other.

The tank pilot starts heading towards one of the tanks with a trooper for cover

but the guard gets shot down

but the driver is able to make it into the tank

They manage to open the door back in the control room, but by doing this the door is stuck from the shrapnel

the tank takes aim, and just as its about to fire, a pirate tosses a bomb right into its barrel

BOOM

the pirates start closing in

the infantry also heads in

one of the soldiers gets a shot on a pirate

but then they gang up and blow his head off

Crimson: you need to hold off the pirates until we can launch this ship!
the other technician is hard at work on the ship

"High command, this is unit 3375, Zeta base is under attack, repeat under attack"

Yep. If there is no [HH] tag, I don't put it into the HH thread and then it won't count.

TURN 3
Everybody starts to run towards the hallway, including the base members

The pirates get a kill

One of the pirates heads off towards the second mini tank, while the other 2 continue to head through. One of them picks up a dead soldier to use as a meat shield

The one pirate begins driving out the tank


The Pirate's ship reappears

and they begin to head out

the 2 pirates still on the ground venture further down the hallway, and are able to block shots with the meat shield and get a kill

they throw down the meat shield, shocking the last troop, and get the kill

the robot must enter it's defense form

MACHINE GUN HANDS

the pirates unknowingly walk into the death trap

and he is torn to shreds

The robot starts to head for the Pilots Quarters but in doing this it opens him up to the unseen pirate

Coolant everywhere

Crimson: defend the ship, C'mon theres only one left and you're highly trained!

Crimson starts to hop in his ship

the technician is easily flattened

Crimson blows out the hangar door, and starts the ship. The pirate tries to do damage, but the shots only do minimal damage


the pirate finishes his objective by stealing all the system files

the Pirates pull into the Pilot Quarters to pick up the surviving pirate

super apologies for missing HH deadline, this was slated for yesterday but an emergency arose and that took precedence

-Gameplay 3
-Photography 3.6 (It was bad at first but somehow it improved a lot later on in the set.)
-Violence 5 (All deaths executed to satisfaction)
-Writing 4.25 (Good clarity of what's going on but the story of the battle is a bit bland and you have minor spelling/grammar errors. Everyone does those, including me, but if someone goes to the effort to scan their every word and fix them all then IMO that's a pre-requisite for a potential perfect score)
-Overall Appeal 3.5

whoops my bad for the late judging

I give this a solid 4 in all categories except violence, that was worth a 5 for me-- the whole thing was pretty good, there were a few things previously mentioned like the photography and spelling, but otherwise, I enjoyed reading this.
