20200215_022105 by Kastrenzo, on FlickrFollowing the death of the Molochite Vorhut's holy Phoenix, an apparent plot by the Svoboda Clan... the Vorhut's new Phoenix has launched a campaign to root out and exterminate any and all Svoboda cells in retialliation for their treachery
A cell in the neighboring plate of Zapad has narrowly escaped Molochite forces and rushed into Vostok, Carrying vital Intel for their faction

20200215_022207 by Kastrenzo, on FlickrThe Svoboda sabotage the gate connectors, cutting off any persuers from crossing plates by ground, But they quickly discovered that teleporters are blocked in Vostok..they possess a transponder that they can use to call for extraction..

20200215_022242 by Kastrenzo, on FlickrVostok is in a state of near anarchy, A cargo ship has exploded over the plate, Many civilians have fled, Looters have stolen parts from gate connectors, rendering them useless and preventing anyone from coming or leaving by ground.. The local OSKOM unit has barricaded itself around it's facility and are not willing to venture out, and local citizens have gathered into small camps around the city, Given the lawlessness of the plate, the Syndikat has sent uniformed security forces to protect their assets.. And their mercenaries have fortified their bank, as well as entering a standoff with the OSKOM units

OSKOM and Syndikat units are for the most part not looking to fight each other, but any wrong move could cause a shootout, the Syndikat have further compounded the transit problem in Vostok, installing a Teleport Inhibiter, The nearby L-Gate is blocked from recieving any non-Syndikat travellers, and personal teleporters do not work, as Svoboda discovered. Local looters probably hold the amethyst cores necessary to fix the plate connectors..
The Svoboda have to get out of Vostok, but no clear path is open. Moloch Vorhut persuers can still reach them by dropping units by Fleetships, And they will be here en masse, soon. They have several options of escape, but none of them are easy, and there will be precious little time to think about it

1. deploying the transponder onto the roof of any 2 story building would be enough to call for help, but whoever arives will have to then defeat the Vorhut, and possibly the Syndikat too in a military confrontation.3

2. If the inhibitor is destroyed, a single Svoboda unit could reach the L-Gate and escape, accomplishing their mission

3. Potentially the quickest, but most risky route to success is to repair the gate connectors and escape on foot. Local Looters likely hold some if not all of the teleporter cores necessary to fix the connectors, But Svoboda would first have to fight through the gas station they are using as a base, risking life and limb. And they will be at a severe disadvantage when Vorhut units arrive
