On the Planet Dirt Planet, dignitaries of the GGE, Brootalz, and Brikwave Kollective koincidentally simultaneously crash on the center of a battleplane.


Planet Dirt Planet is Haunted As Fuck, and giant skeletons roam the ruins, randomly killing the living.


Each faction has small forward bases on Planet Dirt Planet, that have been alerted to the dignitaries' situations.




Each faction will also be bringing in reinforcements each round, starting with the Brikwave Battle Bus at top center, a GGE Chickadee and ground scout team at bottom right, and a Brootal hoverboat attack squad at bottom left.


Featuring Silas, Ken, and myself as marked graves, this is as much as I remember of the Battle of Brickfair PA, held in September 2022!

Round 1

Overwatch


Ninja_bait - GGE

Looks like the battle begins with first blood drawn by the Brikwave battlebus via a response action, maybe.


GGE attacks the Brootal crash site, where they are protecting their BrUwUtal dignitary.


Here's the first wave of GGE reinforcements, I guess.


The Chickadee enters hot, and fires a rocket at the Battlebus.


It goes wide and hits the giant skull mech.


And uh... turns into Daicon IV Ooyama??


Back at the crash site, GGE units are blasting this kawfee stand.


Ken - Brootalz

Reinforcements arrive, failing immediately on a sprint in.


Da Brootalz counterattack at the crash sites, killing the commandos at the GGE crash site.



These Brootalz prepare to repel the GGE at their base.


The BrUwUtal lines up a heroic feat.


She kicks this wall for some reason.


Skeletons

Skeletons happen!




The GGE dignitary dies an ignominious death from blunt mariachi trauma.


It looks like a Brootal got juiced?


Daicon IV Ooyama gives the big skeleton a devastating flip kick.


Silas - Brikwave

The Brikwave Battlebus begins clearing debris from its path.


Reinforcements arrive at the base.


This squad gets a couple skeleton archers. It's just like minecraft!

Round 2

Ninja_bait - GGE

The GGE deploys their Battlebus as reinforcements.


It starts with a shot at the Brootal base.


The dignitary's escort team make an attempt to save their charge, but fail to kill the mariachi band.


They retreat from the horrifying mariachi skeletons.


The jeep from the last wave drives right over Ooyama to get a blast into the brikwave dignitary.


Looks like it worked?


Another Chickadee rocket is launched but is again wide of the Battlebus.


Instead, it fires straight down to the earth.



It's possible these guys were killed in the explosion. Or maybe they decided to take a nap?


Some sort of stunt is being attempted (and failing) here.




Silas - Brikwave

The Brikwave battle pushes in toward the center of the battle.


The Battlebus has more luck with its explosives, easily pulping a brootal squad with a grenade.


What in the... I REMEMBER WHAT THIS IS! Every time someone critfailed, Ooyama would respawn at that location.


Ken - Brootalz

Da Brootalz are reinforced by a Wrex.


This squad easily handles the mariachis that stymied the GGE team.


A Die Plane flies in and shoots at something! Probably a chickadee?

Da base troops return fire on the battlebus.


The Brikwave Dignitary lifts her arms in the air like she just don't care.


She might have summoned the giant skull? Which now has a scarecrow, and... uh... deposited lime green pans?


Skeletons

THE SCARECROW HAS A PAN


The giant skull tries to rip the BrUwUtal apart


But because it doesn't have eyes, it actually grabbed a redshirt! Who still dies gruesomely.


The Scarecrow tries to stuff the GGE mechanik into their own lifepod, as its the nearest thing to a coffin.


This Brootal is unamused by the Boney Dance Macabre

The Big Boner looms ominously. When will he Doot, and what will happen if he does?

Round 3

Silas - Brikwave

Reinforcing tanks arrive


One tank takes a couple shots, with one backfiring.


Pretty sure this is a pic of the successful shot still fizzling out on nothing.


The Battlebus pushes further into the fray.


Shwwooosh!


It takes out the giant skull, but not out of any concern for the Brootalz under attack.


In fact, the BrUwUtal ends up trapped under the crown of the skull!


Not sure if anything is happening here, just more of Brikwave pushing from their base toward the central crash zone.


In front of the GGE base, there is a different melee starting, as the Brikwave mech slashes at the GGE jeep.


The Chickadee flying over that zone takes a nasty hit to the face too.


The troopers attack the base garrison directly, taking out half a squad.

The jeep takes out the mech


The garrison responds as well, though not as well. One guy hurls his gun at the ground instead of shooting it.


GGE reinforcements arrive, including their tank and the legendary Cursed Chickadee.


The regular Chickadee, on its last legs, goes for a divebomb.








Wait, why is this the photo of the mech getting killed? Did it fall over on its own in the last pic? You decide the action!


Da fuq is this guy doing? Pretty sure this is my hero.


Meanwhile, back in competence land, the GGE vehicles combine fire and wipe out the Brootal base squad.

Ken - Brootalz

More reinforcements arrive.


On the far corner of the map, the fight finally arrives at the Brikwave base.


I believe this is response fire taking the Die Fighter down.


Jump cut to the edge of the GGE base zone, where this warmanager is popping one off at the GGE jeep.


At the Brikwave battlebus, a Brootal Sapper gets a chance to lay a charge.


And I guess standard procedure is that someone else shoots it, while it's right in the Sapper's face?


Obviously, the Sapper is dead, along with a wheel on the bus.


The Brootal swamp boat arrives at the crash site to rescue their medik from the dread pan of a skeleton

The panning continues


Scarecrow goes for spooping the swamp boat crew


Ooyama reemerges here at the edges of the Brootal base, for some reason. Not a critfail, I think.


Overwatch

At this point, I think all the dignitaries are dead or trapped, so going to the center of the map is basically just to participate in the fray and kill skeletons. The GGE base at bottom left is currently the least well defended due to the brikwave attack, though they're making a good push into the Brootal base at top middle. At bottom right, the Brikwave base is still pretty much unscathed as the Brootalz mostly pushed toward center.

Round 4

Silas - Brikwave

Reinforcements arrive.


Brikwave troops defang the GGE jeep.


Dunno when this skeleton horse horror showed up but this biker is shooting it.


Brikwave troops continue their advance on the GGE base.


Back at the crash zone, this mech takes on the swamp boat


Ninja_bait - GGE

Base garrison shoots back. This is a fight of attrition, and with the Brikwave reinforcements arriving, with no GGE answer, I think it's almost over.


The cursed chickadee fires a rocket. Looks like the squad behind there is bailing.


Rocket lands short though.


The other jeep diverts from the brootal base attack to hit the brikwave biker in the crash zone


Oh, there are reinforcements after all! But with sprint rolls like this, they'll arrive too late.


From the brootal base, the GGE tank fires at the Brikwave tank. I guess the plan is to draw fire away from the base.


What the fuck is my hero doing on the tank.


Battlebus tosses a couple grenades at this warmanager.


Ken - Brootalz

Brootal reinforcements arrive.


Uh oh, these guys are not equipped to repel a Die Plane


This warmanager fights the battlebus alone.


The Broozer fires at the Brikwave base squad.


Apparently not very effective.


The swamp boat pilot uses his handlebars to repel the scarecrow.


Skeletons

This squad approaches the remaining Brikwave mech.


The mech is overwhelmed by sheer force of pan.


It looks like the bone horse is attacking the battlebus and the ghosts are spooping the brootal medik.

Round 5

Silas - Brikwave

Brikwave reinforcements arrive at their base.


One Brootal squad is badly hit.


Fighting at the GGE base continues, leaving Stetson effectively alone.


A flying attack comes at him!


And thus Stetson comes to an end. (Although he is alive in the next battle, so not sure who put him back together the first time - or if the current one is even the real Stetson!)


Tank shoots at the cursed Chickadee. Pretty sure it survives.


Ninja_bait - GGE

The Cursed Chickadee swings around to escape the tank.


This Brikwave soldier feels an ominous presence in the corner of their vision.


But their reaction is too slow, and they are snatched up to be devoured!


One GGE squad arrives at the base, where they find themselves outnumbered 4-to-1.


Oh no is this guy prepping another feat?


I guess so, glad it went so great


Anti-aircraft guns on the Battlebus attack the die plane to protect the infantry.


With a little help from the infantry, the Die Plane dies.


On the other side of the bus, some troops finish off the warmanager.


Ken - Brootalz

The swamp boat slams into the GGE jeep.


At the Brikwave Base, another squad of brootals approaches. They manage to do some damage.



Brootal Reinforcements arrive at their Base and decimate the invading GGE squad.



Broozer takes out this Brikwave squad.


I think this is just a picture of this guy being shocked at how dead he is.


Skeletons

Skeleton archers arrive and shoot at the Swamp boat.


The pan skeletons kill another Brikwave soldier.


A different squad begins banging on the Brikwave battlebus. The beat is kinda sick.


It appears the scarecrow is shooting Ooyama at this Brootal.


Ghosts take out another Brootal.


Hey! Hey you! You know what time it is?


IT IS TIME TO FUCKING DOOT! (This appears to do nothing.)

Round 6

Silas - Brikwave

The arriving GGE squad makes a feeble defense against the Brikwave invaders.


The invaders take out the base gun.


The tank tries to hit the Cursed Chickadee, but supernatural defenses block the hits.


At the crash zone, the Brikwave idol hero and her troops fight the pan Skeletons


Back at base, the tank misses a shot at the Broozer.


This trooper valiantly holds the line.


Unfortunately for the defense, the base car's gun jams.


Ninja_bait - GGE

The second reinforcing squad finally arrives at the base and joins with the remaining officer and soldier.


Oh oh no, not another feat


Ahh! Oh, maybe this is going okay.


The GGE flatbed races off the butte toward the GGE base and smashes a biker with its crane arm, while rangers lay down cover fire.


Encouraged by the arrival of reinforcements, the base gunner emerges and kills a Brikwave soldier.


The GGE battlebus continues advancing on the Brootal base, taking out a swamp boat.


On the other side of the building, another squad arrives, trying to hit the incoming Brootals.


The GGE tank, which very cleverly includes pointy bits under the nose for when heroes explode its gun, rams a wheel on the Brikwave Battlebus.


This Jeep gets even more damage in, opening the canopy up.


Troops in the crash zone fire at the skeleton archers.


The Cursed Chickadee eyes the Brikwave Idol hungrily.


Ken - Brootalz

At the Brikwave base, Brootalz surround the last Brikwave defender.


The Die plane takes out the armed car.



Da Broozer fires a blast at the tank.


There is a guy all by himself, I think maybe he just walks too slow to get to any engagement zones?


At the Brootal base, they take out the bulk of the remaining attacking infantry.


This Broozer is able to take out the GGE battlebus's grenade launchers.







Skeletons

The scarecrow and Brootal share a moment, knowing what they have together witnessed.


The battlebus receives a loving doot tap.


The broozer gets a little more doot than that.


This guy's eardrums are probably vaporized.


The explosion is so devastating that eldritch meat-hands come down to pull the broozer apart.


Ghosts attack the Brikwave idol, but her fire music saves her.


...by summoning a redshirt.

Round 7

Silas - Brikwave

The invaders at the GGE base kill the brave gunner.


Other squads turn toward the GGE reinforcements and rip into them.


The Brikwave Idol finds a Brootal rocket. What will she do with it?


My guess is it's this: the Cursed Chickadee is downed.


At the Brikwave base, the base guns attack the Die Plane.



The Brikwave tank manages to destroy the broozer's arm.

The GGE ranger commander calls in an airstrike


If the GGE can't have their base, then no one can!


The flatbed tries to kill a Brikwave soldier with its crane.


There are some more attacks but it looks like they didn't do much:





At the Brootal base, this infantry squad manages to finish off their Brootal opponents.


At the crash zone, troops are starting to clear away skeletons.


This clears the way for the jeep blasting its way toward the GGE dignitary. I guess at this point I figured out a plan to save her? That's a medic in the car.


I've seen enough anime to know where this is going.


Meanwhile, the GGE hero takes a well-deserved break.


Ken - Brootalz

The Die Plane crashes at the Brikwave base.


The pilot manages to bail onto the speeder.


I thought all these Brikwave guys were dead but it seems like they're still fighting here?


The warmanager takes a saw to the Brikwave speeder, slicing its nose off.



The Broozer fires with its remaining gun at the Brikwave tank.


The other Broozer at the Brootal base takes out the GGE Battlebus's anti-air gun.


Another squad emerges at the Brootal Base but fails to eliminate the invaders.


At the crash zone, a random brootal survivor hits the GGE gunner.


This Brootal decides there must not be other witnesses to what was done.


Skeletons

I guess this guy decided that they guess they'll die.


Oh we missed some story here - I think that's the Chickadee pilot that smashed into the Battlebus gun earlier. Anyway, he got dooted to death.

Round 8

Silas - Brikwave

The tank lines up a shot at the flatbed.


Pew pew pew!


The infantry squad takes nasty losses from the Brikwave soldiers.


The Brikwave Idol "duels" with the Cursed Chickadee


Back at the Brikwave base, the damaged speeder slams the warmanager, knocking him away.


The damage car follows up with a second slam.


The battle going great for Brikwave so far, they decide to take on the Big Boner, dealing some damage.


Ninja_bait - GGE

The base defenders load up in the flatbed and smash into the base, guns blazing.


Along the way, the crane takes out the two melee fighters' heads.


At the crash zone, this rescue team arrives at the dignitary.


Machine guns on the tank take out the Brikwave scooter driver.


The GGE Battlebus drives up onto the giant skull's crown and shoots some of the defending base troops with its remaining side turrets.


These guys were forced to pick up pans as weapons, I guess.


Ken - Brootalz

The defenders take out the last invading GGE soldier.


Brootalz also take out the remaining Brikwave Base defenses.

I think Ken won this battle, as he had nominal control over both the Brootal and Brikwave bases. I don't remember if the GGE rescue crew succeeded in reviving the dignitary or if they got decapitated during Kertriage.
