Round 5
Aoffan23
The Secutor takes advantage of the nearby SRG portal, probing it with its cannon.
These castle guys are confronted with a strange protuberance. (I think those two Unioners went through the portal last round and got killed by the archers.)
Either that or they were killed by friendly fire, based on this pic.
Roc wrangles his Chickadee and uses it as a rocket sled.
Is he about to go back to the future??
No, he just careens down main street, leaving his dead troops' bodies behind.
OK is this moment over yet
Ah, no. Roc slides to a stop at the portal building, the Chickadee steaming.
Then, Roc grapples onto the castle hero, batmanning his way into a heroic duel.
There's a pretty big shockwave, as far as minifig collisions go.
The Glib Glub that bailed onto the chickadee last turn tries to hijack it.
However, a lack of teamwork results in the other Glib Glub in the shunter glibbing right into the Chickadee's glub, tangling the two vehicles together.
The Red Aliens decide to toss the rocket cart onto the Artemis and pop it off.
The explosion rips into the next room, roasting the gunners inside alive.
The explosions blast out through the walls and penetrate the torpedo pod, causing a cascade of explosions.
Startled by their own success, the Red Aliens have little time to process before their own faces are melted by the explosions.
"worth it," croaks the red alien with its dying breath.
The Tan Alien, boosted by the power of Stetson's legs, dashes over to take a shot at the GGE tank.
The gunship descends, preparing for its turn.
That's a lotta damage!
This guy tosses the GT popsicle, though I forget why.
The red aliens, now reinforced by Wampa McFuckhands and a C500 squad, attack the castle hero.
However, Wampa's snake-eyes failure causes the shots to hit the Iron Maiden instead.
Veggey
This rider makes a probing poke at the Red Alien boat hull fighter.
Four-armed demons board the GGE battlebus that has just arrived, attacking gunners.
Up top, where there are troops, the melee is more chaotic.
A laser master cavalry also finds themselves a little overwhelmed by attacks, using up their farce dice to survive the attacks.
This was just a cool shot.
The castle guys at the portal toss an explosive into the Secutor barrel.
It creates some small issues.
This SRG technician bails straight into the coffee shop.
Chives bails the other way, through the portal.
It's a huge bail roll...
...landing him all the way onto the Seagull.
Castle guys break through the GGE defenses.
But the real killer is a gryphon, swooping in to steal the core with its belly antistuds.
Despite a free response for both opponents, Veggey scurries away with the core. Honestly great, it's his problem now. Forward your complaints about a lack of lore to Veggey.
Ninja_bait
With the battle objective gone, and the burden of delivering lore lifted, I decide to do things that will look awesome. Starting with smashing the Chickadee/Shunter furball using the crane as a baseball bat.
Yeah, this pinata delivers a lot of eye candy.
As a team, we move the Artemis into a more effective position to unload its main and secondary guns into the fray.
The gunship is punched full of holes and explosions.
It crashes straight into the tank.
The Seagull, rolling on its landing gear due to half damage, takes a desperate shot at the tan alien fighter, accomplishing little.
These guys, who survived at the portal through a combination of skilled bails and cleverly playing dead, rise and spurred on by this officer, go for a shove of the tan walker that killed their comrades.
Truly, a worthwhile victory.
Stetson summons a simon frog robot to replace his legs, which has the unfortunate effect of making him king of the frogges.
