Discuss.

I prefer Big battles by far. Small have their good moments, but moderately big are cooler.

Then there's that opinion that says that big battles are not funy because they take too much time to set. But why? Setting the battle is that time when you're impatient and want to start the battle so the wait makes things taste better.

Until the battles get too big to handle. My recent battles have all finished early due to boredom because they were 10 vehicles to a team, it took forever to move everything, and infantry were just targets for the vehicles' secondary weapons.

EPIC the larget battle we ever finished was 190 to 270, i got the extra infantry becuase our vehicle ratio was 2:3 favoring him, and i hadd close to 20 vehicles.

EXPECTS PICKS SOON ON MY AWESOME REVAMPED MODERN ARMY XDXDX

I said big even though I think epic is better because I cannot get an epic battle together, I did get a big battle together and am trying to do another one

Bigger=more explosions=better

That's my equation for it.

bigger=more fractions=more conflicts=more fun
bigger=more viacles=bigger guns=more fun
bigger=more troops=more death=more fun
bigger=more fun
simple
then again
epic=too much move meant in a turn=more time=boreing
epic=more building=less play time=boreing
epic=takes up whole floor=has to be taken apart before battles over=boreing

I voted Big, as most members appeared to, because you can pack in Great moments and explosions, but Epic can get boring if you don't hav a long attention span.

Disclaimer: I've never played a Big or EPIC battle.

That said, I generally prefer Small over Medium, but definitely the large side of small. I've always found that the upper bound for individual Minifigs frequently making a difference, which is awesome. Aside from that, Small battles are generally quicker and smoother.

Tiny might be fun if all the Minifigs had supernatural powers or were otherwise uber, but definitely boring if not.

Battle of Brikhart the First was awesome on the basis of having massive teams. Zothan Sea, on the other hand, was a bore, mostly because a CP misfire ended up lopsiding the teams 2:1, but also, there were too many people, so Big is Best.

I like small or maybe tiny battles, because it is easier to make a good theme or story with them. Also, with fewer minifigs you can build them all to your best ability.

That said, I really enjoy reading reports of epic battles.

biger battles are fun, but can become to long and then the game loses its novelty,.... had a 200 vs 200 vs 70 minifig castle seige half way , 2 days into it just was too long

I prefer small or medium sized battles myself. Most of my battles are thrown together at the last possible minute and often include only one or two vehicles per side. Larger battles can be more fun, but nothing TOO big, since I'm always stuck cleaning up the field alone after everyone else skitters away at the battle's conclusion, and big battles can take a while to clean up.

Personally, I like bringing in reinforcements and fighting end-to-end battles reusing the field from last game. I find those to be the best options for massive fights, particularly if you remove some of the bodies and gear to fight with again, since it lets you have a manageable battle with tons of casualties but without requiring huge numbers of units to be ordered all at once.
