It has a mark 2 power core with direct feed into the harness. The harness amplifies and alines the raw energy into a powerful beam. It is even more powerful then the Caretakers main weapon.
Each pontoon is self reliant and can survive if broken off from the rest of the ship.
With stealth baffles around all the engines, stealth plating used for the majority of construction and its low profile design, the Specter's name is well deserved. Many ghost ship stories are indeed training missions for the Specter.
