Season Zero, Game Two is up.

TBD takes control of a pair of Alphas, Devincp teams up Kal nem and ACM, and I proxy for the Quadrarian Post with Erich and Antwon in a 2v2v2.

Notes from this battle: Need to make modification to ruler. Maybe increase the depth of the swivel plates. Getting off the gates at a sharp angle is difficult to do as is. Prep time and battle time at higher level of characters has to be separate. Decide who can play, prepare, then announce the start. The wait time was silly at the start. But that was partially because I was neck deep in another player's stuff. I worry that antigrav battles aren't going to be able to go all the way up to five characters a team. The positioning can be time consuming. We'll see as we get further up.

About Season Zero

There won't be any Death Penalty for Season Zero, since its a trial run. Characters are cloned just before the match. Once Season 1 starts, however, that cloning information will be wiped from the databanks and reset to a single initial DNA profile which characters who return to life will default to (thus losing access to all earned CP and purchased abilities).

No Standing will be earned in Season Zero. Gladiators, however, will earn CP and can upgrade. Think of this as a reward for participating in the beta because you get to keep those upgrades come Season 1 if you want.

It's a toss up. Antigrav won't always be up. And you can only have one neck slot on a character. Only a few armor pieces can double for jetpacks. Otherwise, I think your guys are very cleverly statted.

I noticed that the match only lasted three or so turns, when I was expecting it to continue until all foes had been vanquished. Exactly how are you timing the matches? Is it until only one side has the possibility of winning, due to score superiority?

My heavy troops might need a refit if they can't even reach the enemies in time.

TBD had to leave, so we just cut the timer down to 3 Rounds. I added in the Timer as a Complication and it would have originally been set to 5 rounds. This was random. I haven't added in the Timer to the Complications officially because I wanted to see how it worked in practice. I can see that it needs a minimum but I'm still fine with a random roll to determine whether or not a timer is used at all, followed by a random roll to determine the number of rounds played if used. Maybe 4+1d6 or something.

Thinking on the jetpack issue, I'm thinking it would be more tactically interesting from a build stand point to make jetpack/armor and either/or situation, regardless of armor piece used.

I'll assume you're increasing your Standing to 6, then, Silver? This is fine during these prelims. The more the merrier. During Season 1, though, any such created Glads will go into the Open Pool. Which would also be pretty cool.

Also, good stuff Zup and Silver. Will add. Assumption is no stats given so each is default with shown equipment.
