...and I got stuck.
Here's what I have so far:

The front

The back
I have absolutely no idea how to continue, so any help would be appreciated.
NOTE: I'm planning to make this IRL, and the ball joints will be replaced with the exo-force and KK giant guys, but LDD doesn't have the whole joint so it'll have to wait.

If I were you, I'd build a second leg on it.

Any other advice?

What has you stuck? I don't know what the alternate joint pieces you're referencing are, so I don't know what is "really there". I started with a whole thing about figuring out a way to connect the pelvis to a torso when it occurred to me that whole part of the model might be what you're talking about replacing.

Yeah the pelvis is currently the problem, but I don't really know waht I want the torso to look like so that might be some of the problem. I'm currently trying a couple different pelvis connections so I'll se how that comes out.

Those ball join things? Not stable enough. You want those weird three-piece clicky ones for hips and knees so you can lock them in place for standing. Probably want them in the shoulders and elbows too, if you're going to do conventional arms.
And build the second leg so you know what they look like as a pair.

The joints I would use IRL are
these, they are more stable and I have an abundance of them. Does anyone have any torso ideas? If I can get the torso built then I might be able to figure out a pelvis for it. Another question is if I will give it a head or not. Depending on that I think it should be easier, but I'm not sure which way to go.

Uh, those are in LDD, they just separated the clicky piece as its own part.

Really? What section are they in?
