Vami builds shit in LDD!

A thread for when Scythe's videos + metal inspire me to do shit. "Shit" includes modifications to existing models, but will probably mainly contain my own shit that I build for others to use! Just give credit. Now, I will never claim any of the shit I modded (anymore). That's YOUR work (unless it was trash and I completely redesigned it
). YOU, the original author, have the choice of throwing the mods out of the window OR use the mods in the official design. You don't have to give credit for mods, as that was your time spent designing that model.
Carry on, folks!
--------------------
To kick this thread off, I present an attempt to gain Sythe's favor to you, beloved reader, the Scythian Duke class Destroyer. The gate into a new age of Vami building shit and NOT pissing off the rest of the LDD subforum.
The Duke comes with a small hangar at the bottom of the ship (seen in the photo)

The obligatory "Enlist NOW" photo. I like the ship's look and bluntness in this pic.

My favorite part of the ship, the engine. Thanks to Scythe on this one. His engine bits are simply genius. this is me using that design(ish) and toying with some bits. this worked out 100% better than waht I was hoping for!

LXF be thither!
EDIT: This thread is my greatest triumph. Purple text applied.

Hey look, Vami can now claim to have built something, anything completely original in LDD. Perhaps the age of shitty mods is at an end!
(It's relatively decent too.)

Umm, thanks?
Mods will continue here, only less shitty, and without me being douche and claiming a ship built by Dilanski, for example, as mine after changing the color of something or adding a shitton of turrets.
The author is more than welcome to use said mod(s) though.
time to see what TSS (The ShadowScythe, to you dogs you don't visit the chat often

) thinks.

Damnit. My age of lurking has come today end. Especially now he throws bait at me.
I am actually going to adopt this model formerly into The Scythian Navy. With a few modifications of course. You have that chunky engine block down, with a slight shape change that actually suits something this rugged looking, the general shape of the ship is brilliant, but I need to remove those antenna/ball turrets for the love of christ. The three barrel turrets are what I now use to replace those as low-grade weapons, so I'll be adapting the model slightly to remove the balls (hahaha) and giving it some well deserved firepower in the form of two antimatter projector cannons.
Also, I can't see the hangar from these pictures, but that's just me nit-picking. I'll be reposting this when I've modified it a little and adopted it formerly into MAH navy.

Okay, now the tables have turned as Vami has built something that someone else has modified . . .
I removed the antennae/ball turrets as I said I would - because they are fucking horrible. As I said above, the role of those turrets has been replaced with those triple barrelled turrets the ship is literally covered in . . . so I added more gun. 40% more gun to be precise.
Two fucking Anti-matter Projector Cannons to give this ass-bastard the omph it needs. I also beefed out that chunky, rugged design to give it a more imposing profile.
Oh, and I adapted the hangar deck into something that could actually fit fighter craft in. and gave it a Tyrant style forcefield.
With these adaptations, I am really fucking happy to let this replace the Kentaurus Class Destroyer in the main Scythian Navy - with the Kentaurus now sitting as an older model in the Emperor-in-hiding's fleet.
Congrats Vami, you have my favour. But I am a fickle god. So it won't last long.

I am glad to see my model adapted and put into service I shall keep these notes in mind the next time I build something Scythian.
Additionally, I shall continue to pump out awesome content (and perhaps mods, although those tend to try people's patience).
Your homework: find the ship I modeled this after. Person who gets it right gets a Vami-built (or HEAVILY modded (WHERE I
CAN MOD IT)) ship.
Notes on the construction of the Duke:
I am very happy with how the ship turned out, especially the shape and engine block. The part that made the ship, in my own opinion, was the bridge. I was actually struggling on how to create an acceptable design for the bridge. I decided to wing it though, and I was quite pleased with how it turned out. The turret behind the bridge was also something as a challenge as I wanted to fit a gun back there to send any fucker cheeky enough to get behind the ship back to the hell he came from. I wasn't actually paying attention to the shape (except on the bow. I knew that was important. After all, it was modeled after a certain ship already present in the Scythian navy). I just really wanted to get that fucking gun back there.
My favorite part forever will be the engine. Why? The aesthetics and shape. And, most importantly, it was a TSS inspired experiment! This is the trick I used, and I think it's quite inventive. Feel free to use it in your ships, as I certainly will be. You can use this for any ship above a Frigate in size. I wouldn't recommend below that size (unless your name is Battlegrinder. Ships are huge, mate!).

I modded
Colette's USA Hover tank a while ago, and I thought I'd post it here to keep this thread from dying.

We discussed a totally different tank.
All the work on that tank was by Colette.

I have gone forth and done some work on the Assyrian fleet, as the last time they saw extensive looking over was in the days of Early Scythe. He was not as skilled then. Rant over; pic time!
Today's first piece. I have modded the weapons that the fleet uses, and they will be the new, current weapons. Here, we see the classic Venus. I have made very few changes to the original design (like last tim--SHHHHHHHHHH!). Above is the new addition, the
Gemini class Battleship.

Ditto, WIP original ship. Don't remember what it was called.

This is just the beginning on the Assyrian fleet, as they are under armed and rather fugly.

Quick update on the Assyrian ships:
ASE Titania Mk. II

Behold the Nu Titania (Or just Titania Mk. II). As with most of my new line of builds, this ship has been completely rebuilt. This model features more firepower, sleeker lines, and a smaller bridge. I think I'll revisit it (the bridge) later, though.
Current line-up!

Top-to-Bottom:
- Luna Battleship
(Nu) Titania Mk.II Cruiser
Venus Mk. II Destroyer
- Vami's Assyrian Ships.lxf
- This is the current lineup of Assyrian ships I've Vami'd. Please take the time to take a look and suggest ideas and/or share your mods.

Venus Mk. III Update

More shots:
Beefed up the chunkiness and firepower on the Venus, and gave it a newer, more bunker-like bridge. Additionally, this is how I'm going to present all my ships / ship mods / ships/ship mod updates from here on out.
Here's the Dropbox, as I don't think the previous attachment stays up to date with the current file (despite being uploaded from my Dropbox). Perhaps it's simple distrust.
