Da Vinci Tank

Post by devincp » Wed Jan 14, 2015 7:13 pm

I hope to make this out of real bricks eventually but I have wanted to build this for a number of years and now that I feel comfortable enough with LDD it finally gets a shape.

I introduce the Da Vinci Tank: built and designed by descendants of the great builder to be used in the great war of 1700. It proved effective against both infantry and cavalry. Also being a mobile gun platform many more cities were brought under control of the Eurasian empire thanks to it being deployed as a city patrol vehicle. thanks to its ability to support a large crew and carry most of its own provisions it can support it self for long periods of time making it ideal for invasion forces and border patrol.

Each side is equipped with three cannons and a canoner for each one. It also has a forward and a rear cannon. Four horses are harnessed in the center as a mode of power. there are ten wagon wheals in all. Two two drivers in the center keep the horses moving and steer when needed. on top there is a captain and four infantry of the newly formed land navy division.

Oh, looks nice. If you changed the colors of the side structures, you could build a pretty nice land ironclad.

Thanks, I thought about it and was wondering if it would look better as a timberclad or an iron clad I will post a pic of them side by side.

Dude this is sweet, I love the concept. Definitely would love to see you build this.

Looks pretty cool, but it seems to have some major weaknesses at its corners.
