[BB20] LAC Lazarus Destroyer & Gideon Frigate

Post by Duerer » Sun Mar 29, 2020 9:12 am

The Lietuvan Aerospace Corporation is the other powerhouse of the Eastern Arms of the Azure Galaxy. Compared to the FPS it has more colony worlds under its wing, albeit with less centralised control over them. The LAC currently seeks to establish a monopoly on valuable transparent minerals in this region as a means to exert economic superiority, especially over the FPS. Even thought Poles and Lietuvans used to be great allies in the past, even sharing a common state at some point, various internal struggles significantly worsened their relationship. While neither are currently at war with each other, their rivalry is undeniably apparent.

In order to exact their goal, the LAC deploys its very own navy, with the Lazarus-class Destroyer being its workhorse. With an adequate arsenal, including two BFGs, this ship is suitable for most basic tasks such as patrolling the orbit over LAC colony worlds or supporting bigger ships in the offensive.

Comparison with the FPS Król Destroyer. LAC ships are visibly less ornate and usually kept comparably cost-effective for faster deployment.

For dealing with the small fry, the Gideon-class Frigate is the best choice in the LAC navy. Its light-weight frame allows it to keep up with starfighters whereas its twin-laser-cannon batteries are ideal to mow them down in a matter of seconds.

Comparison with the FPS Miecz Frigate.

Style: 9 - Nice, sturdy designs. Digging the concept for the LAC Navy.

Substance: 8 -Love the colour scheme and shapes. Highly recognizable and uniqe.

Photography: 8 - Good angles and details. Background works better with colour contrast here.

Boast: 7 - Nice little background infos about FPS and LAC.

Style [ 9 ]
The designs are nice enough for miniature space ships, but the story really makes it here.

Substance [ 9 ]
Good use of parts for things like windows, cannons and rocket boosters.

Photography [ 9 ]
Shots are clear enough, the build is pretty symmetrical so I don't think I'm missing out on any details.

Boast [ - ]
