Press Secretary Sylvia Burte: Because the whole incident took place in a private area of the compound no one outside our government or the Canadian government knows about it yet. Without knowing the true target of the assailants it is hard to speculate on their motives, however I think we might have a chance at identifying them. If I release that there was an assassination attempt against you, in cases like this sometimes the responsible party will volunteer itself and take responsibility publicly. I can have a release ready for the 8'oclock news. Additionally, we can say that you have been hospitalized, let them think their attack harmed you. That might get them to reveal themselves.
Xianghua: That might be the way to go. Secretary Bradley, have you learned anything about why the security droids attacked us?
Secretary of Technology, Dr. Angus Bradley: My men report the program used to carry out the attack wasn't stored in the hard drive, it must have been in the RAM. However, the RAM was purged as the robots sustained damage. We're looking for artifacts in the palace wireless network and on our nearby comm stations to see if the attack was directed remotely. We've backed up all traffic from the last two weeks and will begin analysis shortly.
Xianghua: Very good.
Secretary Eglīte: My Empress, if I may, I think that Secretary Burte's plan of action is suitable, but the hospitalization deal should only be temporary. Tomorrow evening you should make a powerful speech, showing that we are unharmed. If the assailants want to identify themselves before then, then we will have achieved our objective, but if they don't claim responsibility by tomorrow evening then we need the rest of the galaxy to see that you are strong even in the face of this attack. Furthermore, any executive or legislative priorities you committed to before this attack should be formalized immediately, to show that the attack has not wavered our commitments.
