But, what if the bases have just been misplaced.
If its possible that the mythological hardwood floors could be hidden under beige carpet, with bases upon the carpet.
Perhaps the bases have been popped off the top of the stack and added again to the bottom, under the hardwood floor.

Clearly the Hatredcopter would never put up with beige carpet, so its hardwood everywhere.
So maybe the base plates are under the hardwood.
