Chapter I, Part II
Nehellenium Galaxy, Ferstab Colony, Embassy building of the M-Throne Empire.
Wilhelm Sternreiser, M-Throne Ambassador in the Henndirro Galaxy: "...and that is everything that happened since you left Ulrion last year. The Protectorate is flourishing, and only very few people, including some of the military forces, still seem to have doubts about the Empire´s influence. But I already have taken measures to deal with these minor tasks."
LordSigmund Weisswelt, M-Throne Ambassador in the Nehellenium Galaxy: "Excellent work, Ambassador Sternreiser. I knew it was the right choice to put you in this position. And with all the initial turmoils straightened, the negotiations with StarCorps and the other factions of the Henndirro Galaxy will finally proceed. Soon they will all learn the advantages of serving The Greater Good."
"Thank you for your trust, My lord. I nearly finished preparations to return to Ulrion for the negotiations with the StarCorps Ambassador. As soon as my ship is ready, I´ll.."

Suddenly a servant walks up to the Ambassadors.
Servant: "Lord Weisswelt, sorry to disturb, but your meeting is about to begin, and the other Generals await your presence soon."
"Right. Tell them I´ll be there in a minute."
"As you wish, Sir."
"Well, as long as your ship isn´t ready, why don´t you come with me to the meeting?"
"Oh, but I think this meeting is only for the highest ranking members..."
"...to whom you also count, Ambassador. After all you represent a whole new galaxy. A small one, yes, but nevertheless. I insist that you attend me."

Sternreiser takes a deep bow.
"I´m feeling honored, My lord. And of course I will comply with your request."

A few minutes later they are already in the midst of talking. In the meeting room, high ranking officers gathered around a 3D-strategic-space-map table. They are looking at an ice-planet – lava planet dual system.
"So Admiral Axisson. You have heard Lord Warcan’s proposal. Do you think its a viable plan?"
Admiral Axisson: "Yes, Sir. Ending the warp-jump right behind the lava planet will make our fleet undetectable from any ground sensors on the ice-planet. Unless they have put spy satellites around the planets."
General Luger: "Very unlikely. Our long range scanners could not detect any satellites nearby."
"I believe Lord Warcans idea of making the jump behind the lava planet could lead to a surprise attack, and it will be advantageous for sure."
All officers nod approvingly.
"We can execute the plan if you don´t want to add anything else, Lord Warcan."
Lord Warcan: "My Lord, I would suggest to order the Battlecruisers that are closest to the system to intensively scan the entire system once more before we calculate the jump coordinates."
"Good. We will order them to do so."

Another servant enters the room. He´s obviously been in a hurry. Peoples attention and faces are diverted to him.
"My Lord, we have an urgent Holocall from Commander McKinley of Ulrion Prime. Highest priority. He needs to talk to Ambassador Sternreiser immediately!"
"Well, we are done with the meeting right now. We can answer the call from this room. Bring the Comm-Droid here."

while the other officers start murmuring and the Holotable is turned off, Weisswelt directly addresses Sternreiser.
"I think it´s okay to take the call here. It´s the fastest way."
"Of course. There´s no secrets on Ulrion. Nothing that the other officers didn´t need to hear."

The Comm-Droid arrives, and immediately the holographic picture of McKinley appears on-screen. He seems a bit surprised that other officers and Weisswelt are around, but quickly gathers himself.
"Ambassador Sternreiser, Lord Weisswelt, sorry to disturb you, but we have a serious problem here on Ulrion Prime."
Sternreiser signals Weisswelt that he may take over the talking, for he is the higher ranked Ambassador.
"Go ahead."
"There was an ambush on the StarCorps embassy building, it was completely destroyed by a bomb explosion. Some troops were injured, but the ambassador is doing well. Right after that the TV-signals were hacked and a polemic speech was broadcasted in the entire system. It seems there´s far more than a fistful of rebels out there, like we thought. They have now gathered considerable forces at the borders of the capital. They´ll reach the docks in a few hours."
"This doesn´t sound good. And as far as I´m informed, there are not many military forces around the embassy district, am I right?"
"That is correct, Mylord. With all available forces we would not be able to withstand this threat for long. That´s why I already accepted the proposal of Ambassador Barrick from StarCorps, who offered to gather troops from nearby to assist us, just in case we don´t get own reinforcements here in time."
"A delicate decision, but I guess the only reasonable one, given the situation. This can only help in further negotiations with StarCorps."
"Okay, here´s my orders. Take all available troops and fortify the docks as good as possible. We´ll need the landing platforms to bring our reinforcements there. Sternreiser, you´ll set out to Ulrion within the next 30 minutes. I´ll take all preparations that a ship with enough troops will be ready in time. We´ll give you some valuables and money, too. Maybe these rebels can also be convinced with other methods than firepower. McKinley, you prepare the docks for the arrival of our ships, and defend them at all costs."
"Yes, My lord! I´ll start preparations immediately!"

Weisswelt senses fear in McKinley´s voice, so he tries to reassure him.
"Commander, be confident. We have reinforcements by your side in no time. Everyone here in this room is always ready to fight for the greater good, anywhere in the Brikverse, anytime. We won´t leave Ulrion out in the rain."
"Yes, Sir. I know that. And thank you."
The transmission ends, and the Comm-droid slowly walks off.
"One more thing before you go, Ambassador. Take an experienced Commander with you, who takes control of the Protectorate forces. I just feel that it would be better for the morale and integrity of the troops right now if they are led by someone who exemplifies our imperial values."
"Yes, Mylord. I already have the perfect one in mind. If I hurry, we can meet right before the ship is leaving."
"Excellent. Dismissed. For The Greater Good!"
"For The Greater Good!"
