Empire Day Parade

The Magic SOB forum is for posts of story sequences that are frequently vignette-based. Put those here while actual battle reports can go in Reports From the Field.
You must talk like James T. Kirk in this forum at all times. Leonard Nimoy is fine too.

Not really a soap, I just wanted to do a parade...
Khrabrost 10N
Temporary region, Imperial Capital sector

A temporary region has been opened in the Khrabrost cluster of plates, Specifically constructed just to host parade festivities for a day. "Empire Day", the Imperiya's version of new year celebrations on Mir

The leaders of the Imperiya, High Council, Mystic Council and Emperor are all present for this event. The parade itself will be little more than a chest pounding exercise featuring their Military's newest toys.

Sergachev, recentley chosen by the high council to serve another term as Emperor, and his family

The High Council, a collection of the most powerful nobles, each of them claiming overlordship of large swathes of Imperial territories.

Image20210103_230829 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
And the Mystic council, Mages chosen by the Emperor to be the sole authority on the practice of Magik and the utilization of Elder Artifakts. This clique has long used their positions to hoard exclusive rights to both.

Image20210103_230846 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
A large crowd has been allowed to observe, under Peacekeeper guard of course

The Parade begins. This year the organizers have chosen to only show the more advanced and new equipment. Troops from the Imperiya's conscript reserves are entirely absent, only the professional and elite units are taking part in this affair. The purpose will be to show off the results of the previous year's military reform.

Image20210103_231457 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
The Parade is led by combat veteran members of the High council, each accompanied by accomplished war heroes of the Empire, given the honor of flagbearers. The presense of gold banners mixed with the Imperial white is particularly ballsy, as it effectively declares that the Slavonik Imperiya is the ruling power of Mir, despite there being dozens of rival governments and factions.

Rows of Shock Troopers, led by "Ordinal" Squad leaders and Grenadiers are the first units on show.

Image20210103_231543 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
Followed by more Ordinals, Regular Shock Troopers, and "Sanitar" Mediks

Image20210103_231916 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
The first new addition to the Reforms of R2020, Heavies, suited in power armor and wielding heavy machineguns.

Image20210103_232656 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
The next new sight are a group of Assault troops, Carrying shields, shotguns and heavy armor. These units having been settled in to a close range role separate from the Heavies

Image20210103_233222 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
Behind them, a new class of vehicle hunters. Carrying anti-armor rifles, and trucks driving alongside them, each towing something.

Image20210103_233255 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
Large Anti-Tank guns, and Guided Missile Launchers, the primary weapons of these specialists

Image20210103_233332 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
Behind them, More new troops. Behind the jetpack flying, shotgun toting Dragoons, a new kit has been created, these large rigs are for flying around and shooting small yield explosives at vehicles and soldiers.

Image20210103_233834 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
Following them, one of the more controversial weapons. The chem-sprayers of the Desolators. Melting Structure, Vehicle and Minifig alike

Image20210103_233922 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
Reaching the end of the troops display are the Spetsnaz Stalkers. Elite Special Forces troops and snipers

Image20210103_233943 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
And the last part of the troops display, an array of multicolored banners. Representatives of the Imperiya's Allies. Forces of warlords in the badlands friendly to the Empire, and in the process of joining.

After the parade of soldiers, they are followed by a mobile showcase of many of the Imperiya's best and newest vehicles.
Leading this part of the parade are Ground Drones, Armored Trucks and a number of wheeled APCs

Next, while by no means new, is the obligatory inclusion of the "Kodiak" tanks, which have been a staple of the Imperiya since it's foundation. Gradually being replaced on the battlefield, Some of the tank frames are being converted into specialist vehicles, like the brand new "Amur" Assault Tanks, Rolling AA guns.

Image20210107_232520 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
Following them, is the Lumbering "Bryusa" IFV, Large heavily armored vehicles that carry troops and the armament of a light tank. Following that however, are some of their eventual replacements.

Image20210107_232549 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
Two entirely new additions to the parade this year, The "Shturm" Light IFV, and the "Bakhacha" Medium IFV. Both are smaller, more maneuverable and sleeker replacements

Image20210107_232633 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
Reaching the end of the line now, the "Rakushka" heavy tank, the Imperiya's Heavy Armor, and behind that is the improved "Malka" Seige Tank. an oversized Artillery vehicle.

Image20210107_232936 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
Lumbering forward is the slightly improved "Bogatyr" Mech. Now with 2% improved mobility!

Image20210107_232959 by Kastrenzo, on Flickr
And Lastly, the oversized "Ogre" Super Tank, an unweildy, ugly and obese vehicle that seems to spend more time at museums and parades than they do on the battlefield

This look magnificent! Another great soap as always.

I know that you only put just enough troops and vehichles to show different units but I suggest to include more numbers next time :) More numbers in a parade more awesomeness imo.
