Flag Designing

Not really a n00b here, but I wanted some advice. What's a good program for designing flags for my factions. I tried using the new MS paint that came with my PC, but it was obviously not intended to do stuff like this.

paint.net is what I use when I need to do something more advanced than MS Paint. It's free

I'm having some difficulty putting the flag on my Imgur, vengeful. Any advice? Imgur and Flickr don't like SVG files.

find a program that will open them and save as a different file type?

I did some fiddling and figured out how to save it as a PNG.
None of the conversion sites I tried worked properly.
Finished product:

That's just azkamat's nazi flag in different colors.

Is this some kind of new alt-right flag meme I'm missing out on? Authoritarian symbol in the first space, sword and crown in the middle, white supremacy symbol on the right?

tbh swastikas should be replaced with crossed penises on principle. This recent nazi fetishism that is going around on the internet kinda made me abandon the nutzees as a proper faction and partially retool them for the army of some Saturday morning cartoon villain.

Yeah, I've been disappointed with the nazi factions that have been showing up lately that haven't turned out to have any subversive take attached. I keep waiting for the satiric twist that never happens.

I hope this sonnenrad + maltese cross thing has got something more interesting planned than just another boring repeat of flat nazi fetishism with nothing interesting to say.

Well, the Maltese cross is actually Italian, or, technically, from the knights of Malta. Thw faction is gonna be Italian-influenced. The center part: Swords, lightning, Laurels, and a crown. An empire devoted to victory and lightning conquest. the sun in the circle represents that the faction comes from a dyson sphere. Not "Piltogg", per say. Though, I mean, the emperess does take traits from, among other people, Piltogg, Queen Victoria, and Winston Churchill.

I'm starting to feel like real-world flag symbols have too many negative connotations that end up overwhelming whatever meaning brick factions were going for. I wonder if we need to build up a repository of brick-specific graphics to make flags with. Just to brainstorm:
  • Minifig weapons
    Beer
    BrikThulhu
    Symbols stolen from minifig shields
    Trianglist symbols
    Troikas
    Jaw-Jaw heads
    Baseball caps
    Explosions
    Human hands
    Bricks
    Dice
    Minifig skulls
    Studs
    Flame pieces
We can make transparent pngs and build up a wiki page for them.

I liked the flag design on the Bleywatch painting.

That's not a bad idea. Creates even more of a community content lore buffet.

Fuck, I forgot about the SVG files, I just googled "convert svg to jpeg" until I found a working site, I forget which one I used.

Regarding symbols-I've found a pentagram overlaid with an inverted pentagram to make an interesting symbol.
