I think Gainax needs an auteur to reign them in, otherwise their stuff is all style and no substance. I dunno man. The studio has had like, 4 studios split off of it, and they stole 560 million yen of Evangelion taxes in the late 90s. Something's fucky out there. Maybe the magic is just gone. Hiroyuki Yamaga, he had that magic back in the 80s. Maybe it was the money that ruined them.

Trigger=/=Gainax. It's much more accurate to say Hiroyuki Imaishi studios.

To me, Gainax is Trigger is Gonzo is the other one who's name I don't remember. I just don't believe that a derivative studio won't be contaminated with whatever's wrong with them until I see otherwise.
