It comes from a majestik telephone pole carrying a wire.
Then into your house,
then into a modem or wireless gateway,
then into your computer with a wire or wireless.

Oh WAIT! you're right! wireless is awesome ... for Comcast.
They have been pressuring me for 1.5 years to switch to a wireless gateway, now I know why.
