Is there ANYTHING stopping me from fielding rubber ducks in place of minifigs?

I have a considerable amount of rubber ducks.

Roughly ~117, give or take. Meanwhile; I have very little minifigs; only a dozen at the most.

Would I realistically be able to create a nation called the Quak Legion; one made up entirely of large psyonik ducks that fight their enemies using weaponized psionic energy in place of conventional tools and weapons?

More importantly; what stats would they have; and would they be anything more than a gimmick?

I for one LOVE this idea and would love to see more of the concept.

I feel they have to be embraced rather than stand-in minifigs, how that should look i'm less sure!

You could do two things: Bother statting up entire ducks based on inch size, upgrades etc. in which case it's just hitting up the rulebook and designing your own creatures with their own costs and abilities

you could just grab the type of unit you want a duck to be and just designate a unit card to it. The duck would purely be a visual representation in that case.

Perhaps these options might be feasable if I make heavy use of the wide color and pattern assortments to differentiate different units/specialist types. With the former option and a considerable amount of fudge; I could perhaps make up a few unique specialist classes that wouldn't make sense for minifigs.

I can't be bothered to dig it up, but there is literally something in the rulebook about being allowed to use "chess pieces, army men, or anything else you want". Duck away!
