BW 2010 feedback

Re: BW 2010 feedback
Now that I look again, that section is pretty vaguely written. But I'm undecided on the best way to resolve this. What I really want to say is that powerful supernatural creatures can contain dice inside their own body parts, but it should be extremely rare, only for guys who are practically made of magic.

Say just that. I think throwing in more examples in the SN section would help clear a lot of confusion as well.

Re: BW 2010 feedback
Well I'm assuming you want players to point out more specific part of a creation that harbours the magic so you can tactically take it out right?
Now if your SN dice limit is bound to your size as it is now, I would assume that as your effective size goes down you will have to reduce your SN dice accordingly if the amount of SN exceed your effective size. So there is a natural drawback with binding your SN dice to the unit itself instead of binding it to multiple talismans. Obviously the Talisman have the drawback of being stolen.
I don't see any reason to complicate things further, the system is beautiful as it stands right now.

I couldn't bear to let 2015 come to a close without uploading at least a little something for Chapter 11. So here are the updated Squads rules:
(I know that some of you are already in 2016, but we've still got hours' worth of 2015 left to go over here. Happy Old Year!)

That's pretty rad. Can't wait to see, what's next to come to the Army section.

Re: BW 2010 feedback
Is the rule about being able to parry even when withdrawing new? Anyway I like it because it adds a little bit more skirmish feeling to close combat being able to disengaged more savely if necessary.

"11.3: Military Careers"
What types of photos should I take that could have a chance of making it here?
For example, would a picture of a maintenance crew using a crane to remove the turret off a tank work?

Hard to say; I don't remember when that got added in. I may not have even put it in on purpose.*CRAZYHORSE* wrote:Is the rule about being able to parry even when withdrawing new? It's cool for Squads though because you can have some guys blowing their Action on parrying to protect other guys in the squad who can spend their action on something more important.
Military Careers is just going to be the stubby RPG system from over here: Thread 13993 It's mainly about earning mid-battle promotions for minifigs who exceed their authority in some adequately stupid and spectacular way.Valiant wrote:"11.3: Military Careers"

A picture of a maintenance crew is more likely to get added back into the mechanik section, especially if I add a blurb for repair vehicles.

Re: BW 2010 feedback
I hadn't even thought of that, cool. What do you think about allowing a fully engaged squad to use push to reestablish the skirmish range?stubby wrote: It's cool for Squads though because you can have some guys blowing their Action on parrying to protect other guys in the squad who can spend their action on something more important.
Also what's going to happen with the knokback of heavy weapons and two handed weapon in squad combat? I could imagine the effects of the heavy weapon knokback would be minimal in a fully engaged combat but significant in skirmish range for example.

Re: BW 2010 feedback
Shoot, I knew there was something I forgot. These are things I kept putting off to figure out later and then forgot about. Looks like I've got some rewriting to do.
Yes, a Squad should be able to Shove a Fully Engaged target back into Skirmish range. Two-Handed Weapons are going to be tricky; I want to say that they can't be used in a Full Engagement because there's not enough room to swing them, unless they're attacking from behind a Shield Wall (the Heavy Infantry's special ability). But maybe I'll allow some 2H Weapon use if you don't mind hitting as many of your own guys as the enemy every time you swing.
Ruling out 2H weapon use in FEs entirely would sure make my job easier, not going to lie.
