Weapon limit for vehicles

OK. So vehicles have 2x(size)" weapons firing limit per turn, but does that include arcs and burst from the same weapon? Or multiple shots? Eg. One of the Prometheus SHoDT's mgs fires two arcs at a group of Tredorian troopers. Would that count as 2" (WS) of firing for the turn, or 2x2" (4) for the two arcs?

Also, does firing a self propelled missile off some thing cound towards the weapons limit or not, since all the figs inside the vehicle had to do was press the FIRE button.

Another question, does Armored count towards the weapon limit, or not?

And one last thing, can the weapon firing limit be upgraded by a generator of some sort? (for extra CP?)

And do energy shields cound into the weapon limit?

No, you just count weapon size.

Yes.

Yes.

No, but you can Divert all Power (add up size x number of turns spent completely still and powering up to get new structure size)

Yes.

For the self-propelled missile thing, I make an exception where the vehicle can fire an infinite number of missiles for no skill roll but then must detonate on their mounts so it's only useful as a self-destruct feature.

Re-up the the thread for a question about rokets and the way the 2005 book explain them.
A launcher of a certain size (x) will count as x for the creation's weapon limit, regardless of the number of ammunition.
Rockets, instead, are explosives with no launcher and a fixed range, and EACH of them count with its own size to the cretion's weapon limit. So almost every creation will have just few rockets.

Am I correct?
Thanks!!!

I think that's right. But you don't have to stick to the max # or weapons on the creation, you could cram as many weapons on as you can and then only fire size x 2" of weapons each turn.

In 2005's rules you can actually only equip a certain number of weapons at a time on any vehicle, not just fire. It's the rule probably most widely ignored by all.

Not ignored by us :D ok that's correct. Normal creations double size, flying creations just their own size in weapons.
So on my size 5 amphiboius assault mech i will equip:

2 size 2'' cannons
2 size 1'' cannons
2 size 2'' rockets
total: 10'' of weapons

Missiles, give them a structure, movement, payload & a mekanikal brain, if you opponent complains just replace the brain with a minifigure and plead violence over logic.
