Shotguns

I have a question, do Shotguns have I higher chance of hit, and shorter range? Should shotguns behave like rifles or have special rules?

There's a section in the 2010 rulebook on this already.

Shotgun Stats
UR:3
Damage: 1d8+1 - (number of inches from target)
Range: 8"
Special: covers one fingercone (spread your index and middle fingers apart for the angle), and hits all targets within.
