Vermin

So, had a brikwar today (undocumented, sorry...) and played with a swarm of 10 vermin. All I have to say is OMG, vermin are awesome! Their attacks in swarms are killer. In the course of the game, the swarm gnawed three minifigs and one horse to death; cost effective to say the least. And their super-small size makes them really tough to hit.

Need some clarifications, though.

6) Do vermin get an angry inch? (assuming yes)
7) Can vermin sprint? (assuming yes)
8) Can a non-venomous vermin who roll a "6" on an attack roll add the overskill to damage, or is regular vermin damage 1 point all the time even in light of a critical success?

The vermin hero is called Vermin Supreme.

Awesome like they add a compelling new element to the game, or awesome like OP and probably broken?

Awesome because they were underestimated by my opponent who decided way to late in the game to trample them. Def think they are balanced atm and offer interesting choices in-game. Allowing them to overskill into damage would probably break them, though...

Do Babies count as Vermin? They are size 0, and a Baby swarm would be awesome, "Revenge of the Orphans"

I was going to use fleebnorks for the Vermin example, but this is so much better.

What I really need to is open up these Lego boardgames I've been stockpiling, and use the microfigs. I feel like they ought to have a cool name or something though. Like "Verminfigs."

If you are going to use Microfigs, make it a halloween setting, and if they are wrapped in swaddling clothes then call them Figs in a blanket.

Yes! They are used as livestock by actual Minifigs!

They're now an official part of 10.4: Monsters, in the Swarms section.

MunchFigs are a magikally created race of half-figs, spawned from the mixed remains of ancient ProtoFigs,
living minifigs, and fried chicken legs. Cheap and easily summoned, they serve in wizards' laboratories as
diminutive servants and, occasionally, snacks.

Supposedly named for their bite-sized stature and curious magikal properties when eaten, MunchFigs are
just as likely to rise up and devour the unsuspecting novice wizard who doesn't realize he's summoned a
number larger than he can control.

I'm not sure if I want to cook up official rules for eating MunchFigs or if I just want to leave that up to the players. Eating a goblin munchfig would probably have different effects than eating a mummy munchfig.

So do vermin just swallow Heavy-Armor figs whole? The rules say they work better on unarmored foes, but since heavy armor only removes a die roll and limits the wearer down to 2" movement, it'd only take 5 vermin to squeeze through the armor and pick the minifig clean.

I suppose eating a munchfig gives you a one-time benny, like thralls do? Undead mummy munchfigs would in turn curse the eater.

Armored figs are completely safe, although I may add in a bit about an Overskill Die adding +1 Damage (Armor-piercing) or something. I might end up limiting them even further, to Structure Level 1/2 or less.

These guys probably cost a point apiece at most, so a full Benny is too much bonus for eating one. I'm thinking a minor one-turn bonus, like +2" to Sprint or +1 Armor or something like that, the kind of thing that would be equivalent to 1CP or less.
